Likes

Faculties are really good, they are really supportive especially the one I met in first year of college.
Holidays are given in a good quantity, you will get a good amount of time with yourself for self study.

Dislikes

College infrastructure is not really good.

Admission:

As you know besides some renowned colleges almost all the colleges in Kolkata are of Tier 3 and are almost same,the average package lies around 4-6 lpa.So, I opt for B.P Poddar as it have a lower fees compared to Netaji Subhash Engineering College and Techno Main SaltLake which i was getting.

Admission:

It feels kinda cheated. I've enrolled in these college seeing the 4Lakh fees but suddenly they increased it without any notices. So overall don't expect much from a makaut affiliated college. Keep expectations low.

Likes

This college is absolutely ragging free. Infact the seniors are very helpful.
Connectivity is good. The campus is situated infront of the main road. The airport is nearby.
Professors are friendly. They always help students.

Dislikes

This college doesn't provide a great campus. It is decent and not enjoyable.
Lack of coding environment. Coding environment here is decent.
The campus doesn't have a playground where students could play and enjoy fests. And any cultural event is organised in seminar hall.

I appeared for an entrance exam and I got a seat for CSE (data science) course at Techno International New Town. But I filled upgradation form and went for round 2. And I got a seat for Information Technology course at B. P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology. So I took admission in this college rather than taking risks of going to round 3. At our college students can get admission by giving entrance exams like JEE Mains and WBJEE. Cutoffs for different courses vary every year. And spot counselling is also an option for admission.

The infrastructure is really good. We have AC in all the labs , and cc tv in labs and classrooms. The computers in the lab is of good quality they are regularly monitored.
The faculties are really good and helpful. They are always welcoming. We can ask for help at anytime. The lectures are really good. They provide study materials for the semester exams. Overall teaching is good
Our college has several clubs and forums. Like for sports, performing arts and for technology. Every year our college organises technical fest and in every 3 year it organises cultural fest

Dislikes

The campus is small due to its location we don't have dedicated field to play on
We have only one lift ,, for that it is difficult to get space in the lift we have to take stairs maximum time

We have to appear on wbjee or jee mains to get into this college. I got into the college based on my wb jee rank. The course fees is relatively less than most other engineering colleges. This is a value for money deal. My rank was 26800 in the wb jee. And I got IT in this college but then I changed my course to cse. Because I scored above 8.5 gpa in the 1st year

College infustracture is good.well equipped labs.
Well educated faculty members. Helpfull Friendly teachers.
Clean and quiet ambience good for education

Dislikes

Campus is too small only three buildings blocks
Strict rule on attendance, one must appear 75% classes
Very poor campus life no cultural fest for each year

No I don't apply for any other college.from the beginning I decided that I will join this college.the main reason is the location of the college is prime in the heart of the kolkata near airport. The admission process is by wbjee councelling .admission process is so smooth.

Because this college is situated in a beautiful place, near kolkata airport.Here in this college placement is much better than other private colleges in the city. it has also a saltlake campus for BCA and BBA course

The college is good for students aiming only for academics. Course fees is affordable compared to other colleges in Kolkata.

Dislikes The college is really small, and no playground . Campus Life is not good.
The sudden increase in the fees structure is very disappointing.
There is no playground in our college. Very disappointing.

The college is near my house and when I was admitted the fees structure was quite low in compared to other tiee 3 Colleges and one of my relatives son used to read in the college so I got a good feedback from them

I choose the college for it's location as it is easy to reach. I was also selected for HIT,NIT,TECHNO etc,. To get admitted students are required to clear Webjee and Jelet held every year. And the admission process was smooth.

I applied to colleges like techno, eiilm etc. I got selected in bp poddar I choose this college because of the reputation and the reviews from the alumni. I got rejected in one college because not having enough rank.

Life at BPPIMT

Likes

I mostly liked the atmosphere and the friendly behaviour of seniors as well as faculty. They'll help you in placemnts and also in projects too.
They give good placements and many MNCs' come for recruitment and mass recruitments.
The labs with latest technologies are also a well pointed effectiveness for me.

Dislikes

The campus doesn't have a playground so it's quite upsetting as an athelete.
The parking area is small and so the activity room.

Admission:

I opted this college for known seniors and their experiences. I'm happy to get admitted here. This college gives you a good environemnt and friendliness in everywhere. Previously during councilling I got admission in IEM but the admission fees is quite high and the route is also difficult for me so I decided to get admission here where I can afford too. I got this college through counselling and I'm happy though. For regular students, You've to give WBJEE or JEE. For Lateral entries, Jelet is the only exam that allows to get admission.
