IIT Kharagpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The course curriculum for chemcial engineering at IIT kharaagpur is good. Courses are similar to most government engineering colleges in India but facilities and faculties are the best here in IITs. Most faculties are highly experienced and research oriented in their field. Overall curriculum is very good here.

Being in architecture department, placement begins from ending 4th year and continue to 5th year students can apply for it. There is compulsory internship as well that is mandatory to all 4rth year student. Companies like Google, Oracle and other big companies also do visit our campus even CEO of google is also from our college

--students become eligible for placements after 7th semester. -- various companies visit our college including software companies , core job related companies, finance job companies ex . google , microsoft , vipro, amazon, flipkart, nestle . some companies are open to all i.e student of any department can give their selection rounds. -- The highest package as of 2023 stands at 2.68 cr per annum ( international )and average package ranges from 18 to 23 lpa. -- the percentage of students getting placed is around 70 percent. --Talking about me , I wanted to be a software developer , so i want to work in IT industries.

I am still in the first year of my Btech course. Students sit for CDC in their third year. The average package in electrical engineering this year was 24LPa. The highest package recorded till now is about 2.68 crore per annum.

The placements at my college are pretty talked about and popular. Every year such news headlines are heard like "A student from IIT Kharagpur got a 4cr offer from XYZ company." If someone doesn't get placed then he has to look for off-campus offers, the institute doesn't help with off-campus offers.
