IIT Kharagpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From fourth semester students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like Apple, Google, Facebook come for placement and last year 1k offers were made. Highest package was 1 Cr+ and average 20 lakh. Above 80% students get placed. I would like to pursue higher studies in my field.

I chose this course because this is what i was getting in IIT and frankly i just wanted to enter in this prestigious institution. student ration is 1:200. Faculty is oklish but they don't put any effort to make you learn you yourself have to take your own responsiblity

I'm a fist year student ...so I do t know much about placement .but according to what I heard the placement is good here. This year about 6 people bagged 1cr + package and many people.where placed in campus placement itself

In 4th year students can apply for placement. There is many much companies like 300 to 600 (i forgot the number). Like Google, Microsoft, to ISRO and BMW to minning company. There is highest package value 2.6 cr and median package is 18.75 lakh. For aerospace the persentage of students getting placed in core or non core is likely 50%. My plane to wanna a job in ISRO or other companies in my field.

Placements are done within the college. Many big companies like microsoft and Google visited and offered high packages. Highest package goes up to 1 cr. About 80 percent students gets placed in our college.

Like the campus placements is very decent and it is also same as per last year in time of resseion also and 100% placements is offered by the institute and highest pacakge offered was 2.68 core for a student of mnc and 54 laks for industrial and sysytems engineering and the average package of my branch is 19 lakh. And my plan after getting a degree is going into a resarch phd.

Campus placements take place at the end of the 7th semesters every year. Many reputed companies from all over the world including Google, Amazon, Oracle, Microsoft, apple, Jane Street, etc. visited the campus and made big offers to the students. The highest package for the mining department stayed at 50 Lpa whereas for the entire IIT it stayed at 1.64 crores per annum.

The placement scenario is good in IIT Kharagpur . Students are eligible to sit in placements in their 4th year. Placements are conducted in two phases . First phase is before the start of 8th semester and the second phase is after the end. A very large number of companies visit campus every year to ensure selection of quality employees for their corporate. The placement percentage of this year is 86%. The Highest package is 2.68 crores per annum while the average is 13 lpa. For companies apple,Airbus, Microsoft, Google, capital one, Accenture,rubrik, Amazon etc. is an attractive spot. Technical and software compo having their dominance in the college placements this year despite of economic recession. My plans are to achieve placements from here.
