Course Curriculum Overview

I have keen interest in aeronautics, so this course was apt for me. Faculty:student ratio is around 1:20. Faculty members are PHD qualified,teaching method is comprehensive. Term exams occur during the middle and end of 4 month long semester. The exams are of moderate difficulty.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Various companies like Amazon, Google, Facebook offer internships with stipend during third year. They offer it and ask for skillset concerned in return. Internship usually has duration for 2-3 months and project work is given.

Placement Experience

From fourth semester students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like Apple, Google, Facebook come for placement and last year 1k offers were made. Highest package was 1 Cr+ and average 20 lakh. Above 80% students get placed. I would like to pursue higher studies in my field.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure depends on things provided like hostel,mess,tuition fees,etc. For a four year course, the fees sums up to around 12 lakhs.Semester Fees are to be paid at the beginning of each semester.

Campus Life

Spring Fest is soc-cult fest and Kshitij is techno-management fest. They are conducted in January. Our central library is very vast with books on varying topics. Classrooms are technologically advanced. Sports and extracurriculars are greatly emphasized on in the campus. Various societies like Pravah,DebSoc,etc. are there.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms are spacious with triple sharing in my case. Meals are healthy and light. Registration is done by paying fees to hall management. The fees is definitely affordable. Menu is different for each month.

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per year

Admission

Admission was given after I cleared JEE Advanced exam with All India Rank. The application for giving JEE exam can be found on their official website. Fees for registration is Rs. 3k. Dates for application were announced on the official website.

Reality of IIT KGP

Placement Experience:

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

IIT KGP in a sophmores eye

Placement Experience:

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

Many companies visited our college such as TCS , IBM ,COGIZINANT, amd many more . The highest package is around 15 lpa and the average package is 4 - 5 lpa . The placement ratio is around 80 - 85 %

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

SURTECH REVIEW

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.
