Spring fest,we had spring fest this week and it was really nic making the collage lyf more.memorable
There are a lot of societies in our campus. this enables a.student to engane in anything that he is interested
We have an eco-friendly campus. we campus as a whole is really nice

Dislikes

Obviously the main thing i never liked here is the mess food
I expected good teaching but the lectures of professors where very bad

Course Curriculum Overview

First of all people in iit don't give a shit to academics like that in jee. Even me have hardly attended classes. From my experience I never liked most of the faculties who taught me in my first semester. But the teaching quality was increased in sem 2 .I took my course because of my craze in mechanical engineering and aerospace engineering

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 308000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Our campus provides both incampus and off campus Internship and also research internship.CDC here take care of in campus placement.i don't know much about the companies who take interns but I heard that google, Microsoft ,amazon, JLR takes intern from our campus

I'm a fist year student ...so I do t know much about placement .but according to what I heard the placement is good here. This year about 6 people bagged 1cr + package and many people.where placed in campus placement itself

Fees and Financial Aid

For me , the fee was 1.54L per sem. But in here u get a lot of exposure and good lab facility although lectures are not that good. U can get a lot of fee waiver and scholarship based on the eligibility criteria of the scholarship

Campus Life

The life at iit kgp Is pretty good.The main fact is that no one compelled u to do something. You can choose your on way. There are a lot of societies here ,so u can choose which you are interested in. Also IIT KGP have a gigantic central library

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is good ...but not the food. Food in my hostel is very bad. They change the menu every month but the taste remains the same. In hostel you will be having high speed internet access(LAN available)

Hostel Fee: INR 70000 per year

Admission

As u usual I was admitted through the process of jee mains and Advanced. I got mechanical engg in my first attempt itself (which was hard ) .I also had the benefits of reservation . You can get application time and exam time of jee mains and Advanced in official site of NDA

Should I Choose IEM.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

Other colleges I applied for is IIT Delhi because it is nearer to my home and is well reputed college and have a great field in Tech.I opt this college because I am interested in Tech field. I finally chose IIT KGP beacuse it is providing me better branch than IIT Delhi and I got interested in this college beacuse my teacher in myh senior schoo is also from IIT KGP they taught me a lot of stories of there college time and I talked to some seniors of college for admissionb regarding prespective so they advised for IIT KGP.Therefore I chose IIT KGP over IIT Delhi.
