The peer groups are too good in iit kharagpur

The hostel mess in some hostels are not that good.

Course Curriculum Overview

Cse dual degree course is in some of the iits. The teachers are mostly highly qualified but in the 1st year many teachers are into reasearch side rather than teaching side so they don't make students feel interested in class.u can do anything in classes the professor doesn't care. I have completed one sem heree and I got a gpa of 8.25.

Class Size: 154Course Fees: INR 180000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

If u have a family income of 1lac to 5lac then u may avail tution waiver and if u have family income of less than 1lac the tution fee is 0 u have to pay for only hostel charges. There are many scholarships u can apply through campus

Campus Life

The social life is good u have different clubs and societies and many cultural,sports events happen round the clock u have 1 credit for extra academic activity which includes NSO (national sports organisation) and ncc,nss etc. there are two fests tech fest and cultural fest. Tech fest KSHITIJ is one of Asia's largest techno management fest and library is also one of biggest in Asia. There are different clubs and societies like pravah,teamkart,cgs, Prasthanam,encore, student welfare club etc I myself am in a society (computer graphics society)

Admission

The entrance exam which I took was jee advanced which is well known. After that through josaa councilling I applied to IIT kharagpur. I am obc NCL so I availed some reservation benefit which my rank was around 1800 in jee advanced and I got cse dual degree in IIT kgp then admission process proceeds when u come to college

Should I Choose IEM.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

Other colleges I applied for is IIT Delhi because it is nearer to my home and is well reputed college and have a great field in Tech.I opt this college because I am interested in Tech field. I finally chose IIT KGP beacuse it is providing me better branch than IIT Delhi and I got interested in this college beacuse my teacher in myh senior schoo is also from IIT KGP they taught me a lot of stories of there college time and I talked to some seniors of college for admissionb regarding prespective so they advised for IIT KGP.Therefore I chose IIT KGP over IIT Delhi.
