- The campus is very big and hostels rooms are good for living.
- Social engagements are one of the reason I joined here. There are many clubs and associations where we can join and interact with our juniors, seniors, professors etc
- Co living with animals like deer, monkey, cats.
Dislikes
- Mess food is not up to the mark. I skip mess food atleast once a day.
- Curriculum would be tough sometimes and easy for sometimes, which gives us a mixed feelings about tour own potential.
- The girls to boys ratio in our department is very very low. It is about 5 boys for 1 girl(1:5)
Placement Experience:
After completing 6th semester, students are eligible to participate in placements. Big companies like MAANG, Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Morgan Stanley, Quant etc visit our campus every year. The number of offers would be less than 10. The highest package got for Civil Engineering student is 84Lpa and his profile is SDE, and average is 8Lpa. 40-60% placed every year. I am planning to pursue my career in civil Engineering by joining in MTech.

- Beautiful campus and greenary attracts me the most

- Environment is very pleasant, teaching also very satisfying

- Completing the sem in 4 months is a bit clumsy
- Unavailability of frequent busses during class hrs
- Prices of shops in our campus are a bit high

Placements percentage is about 60% in the last academic year. Average package is 15lpa and highest is 1.6cr . I am planning to go for higher studies in the same IIT madras. I want to join mtech in the next year

- Things i liked are environment here which is beautiful.The trees are all around you where u feel the sir almost everytime
- The campus is in the centre of city which is needed for students to roam.
- Many restaurants are nearby where u can dine the food .if the mess food is not goodd that day you cluld enjoy eating it outside

- Stress is so much that u need to study daily to get good cgpa
- The weather here is worst that you feel sweaty everytime even in winter sometines
- U feel dismotivated if u dont study or copeup with others

4th year students. Are eligible for campus placements.many companies like L &T ,AESEC AUTODESK etc visit and give opportunity to students.from our branch 87 percent students placed.I haven't planned anything for my future yet .I would discuss after 4th year.highest went upto 2 crores

- Environmental is the best u can find here because it is 700 acre campus maintaining a good ecosystem with the wildlife and human
- Fest and programs makes in the campus moments most rememberable .the memories are undeniably unforgettable
- Faculty is the best they are more like an family members they understand u easily and gives advices and helps u as an family

- Attendance is 85 percentage one of the I most definitely disliked
- 8 AM classes 😴 another most mission impossible task to wake and attend

Course Curriculum Overview:
The first aspect for choosing is to be civil engineering course because it is easy and stressful to other courses in the other branches.
The curriculum is packed and designed a way to encourage you to be more practical and helps ahead for the academic and
professional career development
They are outstanding in these things minor problems and discomfort can be rectified.
The frequency of exams is 1.5 month / exam I think it's apt and good time according to the difficulty level and well planned curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum in IIT madras is not too complicated, every branch here is unique and are mostly irrelevant to other. I personally chose civil engineering because I was very intrested in construction of things.

Placement Experience:
Completing 6 or 8 semesters are the eligibilities. We can directly apply to the companies. Companies visited are more than 400 and the offers are 900+. High package is more than a Cr. I preferred further studies after the degree.

The placements are very good in iit maddras. the companiees like google, microsoft, tata motors etc. they will give the real-worls experience to the students in terms of knowledge. and skills. the packages are also provided with proper skills.

we will be seating for placements during 4.1 , there are plenty of companies and will offer many roles student should have clarity on what he wants to work for, the highest package can go upto 1 crore plus and avergae package can be 20 lakh, around 70 percentage of students will get placed

My course is civil engineering and our faculty is outstanding. Our faculty members are very experienced.They always give us the updated notes in our academics every year after making research. Professors design notes very well.

- Campus atmosphere, cultural activities, communication skills, good friends, vacation around the campus, long weekeneds, etc
- also we can play games whatever we want for relaxation. Also there is a swimming pool for beginners or pros. They will teach us in learning swimming with cost applicable.
- Also we can do LTAP courses means leisure time courses like guitar learning, piano, karatee, musical instruments which cost relible.
Dislikes
- Sometimes wardens will be too strict in hostels
- In mess, caterers also some strict.. that I won't like.
Placement Experience:
During 3rd year, placements are going to be happen. We can register for placement portal, the companiy profiles were appeared. We can apply to companies, and processing. So many offers were come from many companies which are stipened. Averag epackage is 25 lakhs, minimum and maximum packages are 5 lakhs and 1 crore. Moat of the students get placed in different companies. Nearly 75% students get placed. I they were not placed, they will be recommended by seniors from our college who are finished and placed before us. And some people were not sitting for placements as they are interested in public sector examinations like UPSC, groups 1, 2, etc. also some students start their start up ideas. I want to take placement first. Then I want to continue for 2 to 3 years then I want to write for govt jobs like IES and all in core side. Also I want to try for group 2 exams.

It is a full-time degree or diploma and so it will have more value than online. But if we compare IIT Madras’ online degree or diploma with any other college’s then it is better.
The duration of the course is 3 years. The mode of training is online, the lectures are mostly recorded and partly live sessions.
Whether the course will be good or not that depends on what subject you are planning to pursue. If you opt for a subject related to technology, then it is not a good option. This is because technology cannot be learned through books or audiovisual. It requires you to be present in the field to gain experience and knowledge.
