Dislikes
- Girls to boys ratio is very less especially in branches like civil and mechanical.However, it is improving right now due to 10% reservation for girls in IITs. ~ Akaash R, B.Tech

- Hostels are not that good as they are very old

Course Curriculum Overview:
Some course are very good and interesting to learn. Whereas some are not that good and not very relevant to the field that we will be working on. Some of the courses' syllabus hasn't been updated to match the current trends.

Placement Experience:
The placements in our college are too good every company should come to first our college only.
From 4th year the placements will be start.
Around 480 companies visited our campus and there are 44 internationl offers and 183 offere were made by 85 startups
Highest package was 1.98 crore per annum according to 2023-2024 season and the average package was 22 lakh per annum
80% were placed in the placements

- Course is hybrid so you can choose other college with other cours simultaneously
- You get to learn from too professors and perks of iitian
- Course is so flexible that you can exit after completing 1 year or two with certificate in foundation and diploma.
Dislikes
- No students life as it is a hybrid degree.
- Gets little less opportunity and exposure as we attend our lectures from our home itself.
- Course content gets tougher day by day . It is very difficult to handle two degree simultaneously.
Placement Experience:
BS in data science students have completed their 1st batch and got highest placement of 23 lacs and average of 8 lacs . So placement of electronic system will also revolve around this figure. After 3rd year students are eligible for placements. Most of the Bengaluru based tech company visited for this degree holders. I have a plan to go for higher studies abroad after completing this degree.

- Its a very big college with lots of wildlife in it like deers, blackbucks, snakes etc. So i like it very much here being so close to nature.
- There are lots of different seminar and events that keep happening regularly which help us develop ourselves and we can also try out different things and explore ourselves.
- The academic and coding environment here is very good and my college is a very good place to build yourselves.
Dislikes
- The gender ratio here is like other engineering colleges only, its not very good.
- The first year hostel are very good but the hostels we get after that are not that good.
- Even though we are in the nirf rankings 1 college some of the infrastructure is not good.
Placement Experience:
The are a lot of placement and internship opportunities at iit madras. The placements are very good as compared to other college as iitm is the nirf 1 college. My plans after getting the degree is to work in a tech or a finance filed.

- Due to online less interaction with teachers
- Also less interaction with students. So the environment is lonely Ness
- It's difficult to complete the course you have to self motivated for this.
Placement Experience:
Placement is good average package got for this degree is 12 lakh per annum.many Students get placed . This is online degree so their is no exact information. After this I have to go for data scientist.

- The campus is very big and hostels rooms are good for living.
- Social engagements are one of the reason I joined here. There are many clubs and associations where we can join and interact with our juniors, seniors, professors etc
- Co living with animals like deer, monkey, cats.
Dislikes
- Mess food is not up to the mark. I skip mess food atleast once a day.
- Curriculum would be tough sometimes and easy for sometimes, which gives us a mixed feelings about tour own potential.
- The girls to boys ratio in our department is very very low. It is about 5 boys for 1 girl(1:5)
Placement Experience:
After completing 6th semester, students are eligible to participate in placements. Big companies like MAANG, Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Morgan Stanley, Quant etc visit our campus every year. The number of offers would be less than 10. The highest package got for Civil Engineering student is 84Lpa and his profile is SDE, and average is 8Lpa. 40-60% placed every year. I am planning to pursue my career in civil Engineering by joining in MTech.

Iim provides in campus placement for every student who are eligible to sit in placement cell.The criteria for placement cell are :
1. Cgpa should greater than 7
2.he/she should have to complete either one diploma
The average package is 9.2 lpa and highest is 35 lpa

- The online lectures are less interactive
- Every month we have to give exams of every subject we opted

We have a placement cell for bs student. After completing degree level, we eligible to sit in the placement and the conclusion of the placements were so good if we see the previous year data of the student getting placed.

- Data science is online but they don't feel you that you online student it's just like offline you will get groups and muck more fun like paradox and all you can visit any time

- It should be offline also . So you can get more experience about surrounding

It is a full-time degree or diploma and so it will have more value than online. But if we compare IIT Madras’ online degree or diploma with any other college’s then it is better.
The duration of the course is 3 years. The mode of training is online, the lectures are mostly recorded and partly live sessions.
Whether the course will be good or not that depends on what subject you are planning to pursue. If you opt for a subject related to technology, then it is not a good option. This is because technology cannot be learned through books or audiovisual. It requires you to be present in the field to gain experience and knowledge.

The online Data Science program at IIT Madras is a great opportunity for someone who can not attend regular college because of financial constraints, illness, or other reasons.
