Placement Experience:
IITM BS program is an online course so it does follow a traditional placement model. However, the institute is making a lot of efforts to enhance the employability of its students through various means. Students become eligible for internships, placements once they complete either of their diplomas, i.e when they can start sitting for the mock interviews and preparation rounds offered by our placement council. We have a student placement council which approaches the potential employers, and bring in the right opportunities for its students. They conduct various interaction talks by different experts for the guidance of students, and for them to setup a good skilled portfolio for themselves which help them get the right opportunities. The average package offered to the students ranges from 10 to 15 lakhs, depending upon the students portfolio and company profile. A good number of students get placed as there is a high demand for data science skills across industries.

Ad this is online collage we got placement opportunities online after 3 rd year students are ready to grab a job even from 2nd semester students get internship offers. No placement data is avaliable for this degree wright now. But there is vast opportunities after this course completion

Course Curriculum Overview:
The specific aspect of curriculum is that it exposes the student to the actual applications of data science in the real world . The exams are held monthly once. Their difficulty level can be rated moderate.

Placements are good, as the degree is completely online, but it is nowhere mentioned in the certificate, IIT helps one to get good package in Data Science fields, maybe the college does not provide placemnts, but students have gotten in big companies through off-campus placements

- At very first, you get a chance to be an IITian without JEE. This makes you understand the level of IIT
- Secondly, there is total flexibility given to students. You can watch recorded lectures at your own convenience whenever you want.
Dislikes
- Although they have tried there best to make it engaging and interactive but I feel there could be more done to keep students much more involved.
- Some would see it as a pros but I feel this could be a con. There is no minimum attendance required. It's your wish you attend or you don't the classes.
Placement Experience:
From 3rd year onwards students can be part of placement assistance. Moreover, throughout four years you receive offers for internships. As it is a new degree so no official data is avaliable on name of companies and no. of offers. However, though sources it is shared that avergae package range around 15- 20 lakhs per annum. I plan to do my masters in data science from some American University.

After completing one diploma you can apply for internships and after your 3rd year, you can apply for the placement while going on with your last year. You need atleast 8+ cgpa to get the placement. The package is also quite well

I.I.T madras also provide placement and internship assistance, they provide on campus placements and also gives training for the placement and internship , there are many companies like tcs , nissan group , tiger analytics etc which approachs students for placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum was comprehensive and we have an option to choose free electives from other departments too. We would have 2 quizzes and one end semester exam in a semester and meanwhile assignments will be shared at regular intervals of time.

- The faculties are very much experienced, as it is an IIT. Their teaching methodology is also very good as they have a practical and example based approach.
- The lectures provided in the portal are easy to access. They are uploaded in a systematic way.
Dislikes
- This program is little bit lengthy to complete, because the minimum time to complete this program is 4 yrs and it could also take as long as 8 yrs.
- There are not much live classes to do in this course as we have got recorded lectures.
Placement Experience:
This course offers internships from 2nd year and placements from 3 year itself. Till now the bs students are not graduated , so there is no data of placements. But it is very relevant in the job market because data science is currently in a boom in the market. After college you could go for masters or PhD orelse you can apply for gate Da paper.

It is a full-time degree or diploma and so it will have more value than online. But if we compare IIT Madras’ online degree or diploma with any other college’s then it is better.
The duration of the course is 3 years. The mode of training is online, the lectures are mostly recorded and partly live sessions.
Whether the course will be good or not that depends on what subject you are planning to pursue. If you opt for a subject related to technology, then it is not a good option. This is because technology cannot be learned through books or audiovisual. It requires you to be present in the field to gain experience and knowledge.
