First thing i like about this campuse is its beautiful like really beautiful.
Here some teachers are really good and helpful which encourages for better performance in every field
Students can get so many scholarship opportunities once they join this institute like for students living in jk or students with good cgpa.

Dislikes

Professors are not that good as expected,need to understand concepts from youtube
This is quite difficult to afford for a middle class family but there are fee waiver also
Hostels are not that good and have only fans not even cooler so it is difficult in summers washrooms are also not well mantained food is also not that good overall hostels are very unhygienic and are not well mantained

Pros and cons of college

Likes

The campus is very beautiful and best place to relax and study.
The hostel are very good and comfortable.
The food in the mess is healthy and delicious.

Dislikes

The attendence required is more than 75%.
Extra classes during holidays is sometimes not good.
The teachers sometimes do strict marking.

Placement Experience:

Students get placement in the third and fourth years. The placement varies according to different branches. ECE has the highest placed students from our college which is 2 crore per annum. I am preparing for a job in the technical field which is to become a software developer.

Navigating Academia : My Honest College Experience

Likes

Big Campus with greenery and no pollution at all.
Extra curricular activities apart from studies also.
Most importantly , the placements scenario is outstanding.

Dislikes

Attendance Criteria is also major issue here with 75% necessary and teachers are quite strict about it.
Schedule is quite hectic and classes are from morning till evening with 1 hour lunch break only.
Since located in the outskirts of the city , transport facility is not so good here.

Placements in our college are excellent for almost every branch with CSE, IT, and ECE with the highest package. Students become eligible for internships in 3rd year for 2 months and a full-time job offer in 4th year. AMAZON, FLIPKART, MICROSOFT, Samsung, Reliance, Incedo. etc many more than 200+ companies visit and give placement offers to students with an average package of 13 lacs and highest package (as of 2022) of 1.2 crores. You can check it on the website also. Almost 90% of students get placed.

Insights of NIT Jalandhar

Likes

Teachers at college are much cooler than teacher at school, and we don't have to worry much about attendance.
Due to GDSC, I have explored new technologies like web tech , ML , AI.
Environment is very competitive for coding in CSE and ECE department so students remain motivated.

Dislikes

campus area is not that much big as other NIT's have.
first year students have to stay in 4 seated room and in summer it become awful.
We have to attend classes from 8:30 to 5:30 and that's very exhausting.

Placements at NITJ are fairly good compared to other colleges in this area. The top branches are CSE, ECE, and IT for recording the highest number and amount of packages. Students become eligible for internships at the start of 3rd year. And the process continues till the end of 3rd year but if students want they can apply for off-campus also. Various companies like AMAZON, GOOGLE, Adobe, Flipkart, etc visit our campus for internships and for placements as well.

Placement Experience:

From the final year, students become eligible for campus placements. Majorly companies here are Amazon, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, TCS, Infosys, and many more. Highest package there is 44LPA and the average package is 11LPA and profiles majorly for SDE. 80 percent of student gets placed. My plan is to get a good placement.

Likes

The atmosphere it provides for one's overall growth
To be able to interact and learn from such prestigious seniors
Really good and Impressive Placement statistics

Dislikes

Poor management and overall administration
Poor utilisation of campus area and more of a wasteage
Still stuck at traditional education system and not pacing with current industrial needs

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placement from the very start of the final year of their degree. The average package varies from branch to branch, and if I talk about my branch which is CSE then it is around 15 LPA and about 90% of the students get placed.

Campus - NIT Jalandhar

Likes

Campus building, Natural environment (there are peacock and other birds in campus).
Hostel and mess facility and the playground.
Faculty members are so much polite and caring .

Dislikes

Poor mentality of local peoples, sometimes they behaves very badly with non-punjabi.
There are a lot of insects that disturbs us.
Full day class, and menedatory attendence(75%).

There is a recession in 2023 year. Not that many companies are coming but, still, it is not that much bad a situation. You have to struggle for your internships, but for placement, you need to do less effort. Due to fewer opportunities, the college is serving only one on-campus placement and internship for each student. If someone got an internship/placement on-campus/off-campus is not able to apply for the upcoming company's internship/placement program.

Internship situation at NIT JALANDHAR

Likes

New hostel is very posh and comfortable.
Placement opportunity is good. Cse students have got jobs in amazing companies
The course maintains a very good syllabus which is followed by all international universities

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester the students become eligible for campus placement. Several companies like Amazon, Google etc visit our campus and make offers to the students. Almost all the students from CSE get offers from this company but they have to maintain good cgpa and be knowledgeable. I would like to work for the underprivileged community of society after obtaining my degree

Greenery of college and air quality in campus
I liked the medical facilities provided in college
Electricity is 24 hours available in college.

Dislikes

Library facility is not very good in the college.
Mess food gets bad sometimes and gets good some times.

Placement Experience:

Internship season starts in 5th semester and placements start in 7th semester. A lot of good companies like Amazon google Microsoft paytm byjus come for on-campus placements. The highest package for cse is 51lpa and the average is 17lpa.

Likes

Greenery and its Beauty. NITJ is good for healthy and natural environment. They took good care of vegetation in college campus.

Dislikes

Mess food they should upgrade it specially for second and third year mess.

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester, students start getting internship offers even microsoft, and Amazon also offers too. The highest package was around 72 lakh per annum on campus last year and for off campus, it crosses 1 crore too. The percentage of placement is 95% above for CSE students.

There is a average placement ratio maximum all get placed because all my senior will get placed . Average package is about 8 lakh which is good. In campus there is amazon and flip kart company minimum placement ratio is from bio tech

Is mechanical and electronics in NIT Jalandhar as good as CS in the same college?

Mechanical in NIT Jalandhar:

4-5 senior faculty members are excellent. Every ad-hock is very poor and useful in any way. Undergraduate research opportunities are limited, but you can participate in mechanical teams and learn a lot at international-level competitions and race events, or you can start your own. Self-knowledge is the only source of knowledge. If you want, you can get the most out of your knowledge and experience by leaving here. In terms of numbers, placement is excellent. For a long time, the campus has been dominated by PSUs and automobile companies. This includes excellent companies involved in the core design, the power sector, and the energy sector. They don't go there very often, but the overall placement is excellent.

CSE: Students have good grades and get good jobs as a result of the market boom. Some students are very good learners who work hard for their studies and knowledge, but this type of student is between the ages of 8 and 10. The remaining 80 people dance, sing, and participate in other activities.

ECE: Faculty members are friendly and helpful. Students are exceptional. Placements are good, and some students study the entire CSE curriculum to get the job. If you want to come here, you must choose with your mind, consider all aspects, and think wisely.
