In the 2021 placement season, Computer Science Department at NIT Jalandhar witnessed a placement record of 100% for both B.Tech and M.Tech students. The average package offered to B.Tech students was around Rs. 9.4 lakhs per annum, while the average package for M.Tech students was around Rs. 7.5 lakhs per annum. The highest package offered to a B.Tech student was Rs. 42 lakhs per annum, while the highest package for M.Tech students was Rs. 16 lakhs per annum.

Some of the top recruiters who visited the campus for the Computer Science Department in 2021 were Amazon, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Intel, Capgemini, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and many more.
