THE LIFE AT NIT JALANDHAR

Likes

our campus is very beautiful and lush green
college workers and mess workers are very friendly in nature

Dislikes

the hostel is under construction which is good or bad both
mess food is ok ok but acceptable sometimes extra sweets given

Faculty:

The student to teacher ratio varies branch wise generally it is 60:1 but there are separate tutorial classes for questions and real life problem solving in these classes the student to teacher ratio is 20:1 .

Nit jalandhar the best college

Likes

The greenary in the campus .and the infrastructure is very good.
The workers are very friendly in nature with everyone.

Dislikes

Colleges is under construction and its good and bad at same time.

Faculty:

The faculty to student ratio is genrally depend on branch strength but it is 60:1 there is sepwrate tutorial classes for students .to learn and aplly things in real life.in which the faculty to student ratio is 20:1.

The infrastructure is new and very good the lecture theatres are

Dislikes

The some college hostels are under construction which is good or bad both
The weather in jalandhar is very hot in summers

Faculty:

The faculty is very good well educated and very friendly in nature the faculty to student ratio is branch wise generally it is 60:1 there are separate tutorial classes in which the faculty to student ratio is 20:1 the exams are ok ok u have to study for getting pass marks

There are the better cleaning in all hostels
There is no ragging like things in the college

Dislikes

Library is not open for 24 hours library open only 9AM - 5 PM
Mess food is not good some times it is good

Faculty:

I am from civil engineering department in NIT jalandhar .Professor are good and treated student very well .but they take exam as gate level and not give relief in marks .all things is better in my college.

I like the atmosphere of the college
The transparency they have in the examination systems.

Dislikes

Although the infrastructure is good but it could have been better.
The fests and festivals could have been celebrated in more cheerfully in short the budget given to the clubs to organise fests are very less to have a grand celebration.

Faculty:

Professors are always ready to help and guide you. Even after classes you can clear your doubts or even you can go to their offices during working hours if you have doubts. But there might be some issues when talking about non academic things. So it's better not to create any unnecessary issues with professors.

beyond the campus: reflecting my time at Nit Jalandhart

very good academic plan and systematic plans for study
very good infrastructure and sports facilities , good canteens inside campus , lush green campus , good mess food etc

Dislikes

very strict attendance policy as all attendance is uploaded on erp online portal
not very good hostel facility for the 1st year students but then after you pass first year very good hostels with good rooms are provided

Faculty:

faculty members are well qualified and almost all faculty members are phd from respected institutes like IITs , teaching methods of the teachers are nice , some of them have very vast knowledge about there subjects , there are four stages of exam , first quiz then mid term after that second quiz and then end term exams . quiz contain 5 marks each , mid term is of 30 marks and end term is of 50 marks . passing marks is 40 and min 15 marks should be in the end term .

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute Of Technology Jalandhar has decent campus area.
Infrastructure and other facilities like hostels, sports, safety, etc are improving day by day.

Dislikes

Facilities like hostels to day secular, transportation, etc are to be provide for increasing students interest
Canteens, swimming pools, marked grounds for different sports are not available.

Faculty:

Faculty at NIT Jalandhar is good because they spend lot of time in teaching industries. Many of them are among 1% or 2% of World's top researchers and educationalists. More over, Faculy of department depends of different factors such as establishment, dean,etc.

Likes

The campus here is lush green and far from city so atmosphere is clean.
Rich in culture as people from all around India and some outside from India are there to study.

Dislikes

Some of the infrastructure could have been better.
Being far away from city is not a good thing as we have to travel a lot to reach markets.

Faculty:

Faculties are quite good and have qualifications from IITs and NITs and some of the prestigious college outside India. Mentorship being provided by the professors is quite good and is helpful in a long run. It js quite easy to approach them and they are helpful nature with the students. Even counsellors are there with each and every course to interact with students for any sortoff help.

Likes

First thing that strike my mind while considering the likes in the campus will be definetly the professors.In my branch proffesors are better helping students and guiding them.I can say this because in the first year we had subjects of other brances
sports facilities and support.fully active sports members and gym

Dislikes

food availabilities.many of them are unhygenic and expensive(except nescafe but costly )
responds from academic section for some documents or information are not good enough and delay

Faculty:

Faculty members are helpfull and well qualified. I cant agree on their teaching methods but they will really help you if you confront them personally.they are all well qualified and informed,however only few of them teach in english only.i didnt interacted them with much because i didnt want to spend so much of my time in only studying .

THE COLLAGE CAMPUS HAS ALL THE NECESSARY THINGS INSIDE
THE HOSTAL FOOD IS VERY GOOD AS COMPARED TO OTHER COLLAGES

THE COLLAGE IS IN OUTSKIRTS OF JALANDHAR WHICH CAUSE STUDENT TO TRAVEL MORE TO GET IN TOUCH TO THE CITY.
THE CAMPUS IS QUITE SMALL ACCOURDING TO OUR EXPECTATION.

Faculty:

THE FACULTY TO STUDENT RATIO IS AROUND 17:1. WHICH IS VERY GOOD WHICH MAKES FACULTY TO PROVIDE SOME ATTENCTION ON THE CLASS. STUDENT IS FREE TO INTRACT WITH THE TEACHER ACCOURDING TO THERE WILL.FACULTY'S HAVE GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF THERE RESPECTIVE FEILD AND TRY NEW WAYS TO TEACH CHILDERN
