Q: Why is the cutoff for computer science in Thapar lower than that of NIT Jalandhar?

The cutoff for computer science in Thapar has seen a fall in figures. This is because of the decrease in the fame of this college. There are so many better and popular institutes that people usually don’t consider Thapar as their first choice. Even big companies prefer students from IITs, BITS or DTU. Students themselves opt for IIT because of its tag. They know the IIT tag will always be a boon for them. The general decrease in its popularity has resulted in lower cutoffs and the situation seems to be worsening over the years to come.

Q: How many marks does one need to score in the JEE Mains to get into NIT Jalandhar?

What matters is your JEE MAIN All India Rank, not your JEE MAIN marks. This is due to the fact that Marks is an absolute number, whereas your entry is determined by your relative performance, for which Rank is important. This holds true for all competitive Entrance Exams. The JEE Main cut-offs at NIT Jalandhar differ depending on the course. Furthermore, the cut-off is determined by the students category. There are also state and national quotas. The state quota accounts for 85% of the seats, with AQI accounting for the remaining 15%. JOSAA publishes the JEE Main cutoff for NIT Jalandhar on its official website. Also, keep in mind that the cutoff is determined by a variety of factors and varies from year to year. As a result, the cut-off for this years JEE Main will differ slightly from last years. You will know what is expected to be scored based on your interest (which NIT and which Branch).

NIT Jalandhar B.Tech cutoffs are released on the JoSAA portal after each round of counselling in the form of Opening and closing ranks. Usually, JEE Main cutoffs are released in 6 rounds on the JoSAA portal and the last two cutoffs are released for the supernumerary seats on the CSAB portal.

NIT Jalandhar JEE Main Cutoff 2024 for CSE is 6330 – 9347 (Other States) & 9686 – 15326 (Home State) in Round 1 for general category students. In the year 2023, the overall BTech cutoff for NIT Jalandhar ranged from 14058-88486 ranks for the general category candidates. On the other hand, in 2022 the closing cutoff for the NIT Jalandhar BTech program remained at 117715 ranks.

The brand value of NITs are very good compared to private colleges, also the campus is very good and lush green and the enviroment of top tier colleges is that matters alot for me. The placements are also bold reason for joining this college.

The greenary in the campus .and the infrastructure is very good.
The workers are very friendly in nature with everyone.

Colleges is under construction and its good and bad at same time.

The nit stands at tenth place in all nits in india.its campus is good enough .and greenary is soothing and infrastructure is good and well maintained.although it is government college making it great option for everyone.

Nit jalandhar is stood at 10 place over 28 Nits I think it had a good infrastructure and campus is very beautiful if I compare with very expensive private colleges which have malls and others that's not a right comparison btw the placements are good

Keep study for make your future better

There are the better cleaning in all hostels
There is no ragging like things in the college

Library is not open for 24 hours library open only 9AM - 5 PM
Mess food is not good some times it is good

NIT jalandhar is govt college as we know .and admission process like this .you will appear in JEE mains exam and Take valid rank for this college .after this will complete jossa counselling as well as csab.

"Campus Insights - NIT Jalandhar"

I like the atmosphere of the college
The transparency they have in the examination systems.

Although the infrastructure is good but it could have been better.
The fests and festivals could have been celebrated in more cheerfully in short the budget given to the clubs to organise fests are very less to have a grand celebration.

I selected this college on the basis of it's ranking among other colleges and the location was more convinient. Also one the reason of selecting the college was that the research opportunnities in the college are very good.

beyond the campus: reflecting my time at Nit Jalandhart

very good academic plan and systematic plans for study
very good infrastructure and sports facilities , good canteens inside campus , lush green campus , good mess food etc

very strict attendance policy as all attendance is uploaded on erp online portal
not very good hostel facility for the 1st year students but then after you pass first year very good hostels with good rooms are provided

To take admission in nit Jalandhar the process is done on the behalf of jee main rank , and 75 percent in class 12th is must . If you got h rank as per the last year admission trends , you have to apply in jossa and csab councelling . Then if you are selected then you will be called in the collage for physical reporting. Then the whole admission will be completed at the time of physical reporting. Tution fee or sc , st is nill they have to give only the hostel and mess fee , after all this you will start your journey in the lush green campus of NIT Jalandhar

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute Of Technology Jalandhar has decent campus area.
Infrastructure and other facilities like hostels, sports, safety, etc are improving day by day.

Facilities like hostels to day secular, transportation, etc are to be provide for increasing students interest
Canteens, swimming pools, marked grounds for different sports are not available.

NIT Jalandhar admission is based on JEE Mains ranks through JOSAA and CSAB. After getting a seat from counseling, you can get all the important information at nitj.ac.in the website. Reservations are available to all categories.

Anubhav's Review of NIT Jalandhar

The campus here is lush green and far from city so atmosphere is clean.
Rich in culture as people from all around India and some outside from India are there to study.

Some of the infrastructure could have been better.
Being far away from city is not a good thing as we have to travel a lot to reach markets.

Eligibility is you only have to cross the cutoff in JEE Mains exam for the college and the complete admission system in online after you complete JOSAA and CSAB counseling whicy are responsible for the allocation of seats in this college. Reservation benefits are here in terms of branch and fees like students of different categories have different cutoff for a seat and fee is quite too low for categories like SC/ST and other backward classes. Frequency of exams is decent and rest all is good. Students can see their reports online on the college ERP System and parents' can have a report of their ward time to time too. Areas of improvement in admission level is just in the time taken in offline paperwork field rest all is good.

Information from first year.

First thing that strike my mind while considering the likes in the campus will be definetly the professors.In my branch proffesors are better helping students and guiding them.I can say this because in the first year we had subjects of other brances
sports facilities and support.fully active sports members and gym

food availabilities.many of them are unhygenic and expensive(except nescafe but costly )
responds from academic section for some documents or information are not good enough and delay

admission procedured in nitj is a real headache.too much paper work and online filling for both hostel and campus admission.it leads to lot of delay and no proper facilities for photocopies during admission.i got 32001 open rank in jee mains.i didnt got admission for me in nitc ,so i joined herewhich had acut off of 34k
