First thing i like about this campuse is its beautiful like really beautiful.
Here some teachers are really good and helpful which encourages for better performance in every field
Students can get so many scholarship opportunities once they join this institute like for students living in jk or students with good cgpa.

Dislikes

Professors are not that good as expected,need to understand concepts from youtube
This is quite difficult to afford for a middle class family but there are fee waiver also
Hostels are not that good and have only fans not even cooler so it is difficult in summers washrooms are also not well mantained food is also not that good overall hostels are very unhygienic and are not well mantained

Life at NITJ

Likes

Good sport's facilities , Fests and cultural programs are awesome, good environment, clean campus, class are not too far from hostels you can go through from your own, girls is to boys ration is decent, projects like car racing drone making etc are
They organise many sports tournaments throught the year which increases interaction with seniors.. as such no ragging in college..good infrastructure as buildings are so strong...
Good mess food...decent throught the year

Dislikes

Senior boy's hostels are prone to drink which is not good.
Accomodation problem for first year students (4 seater rooms)
Very strict academics which don't allow you to involve in extra curricular activities

Placement Experience:

In starting of 7th semester... students mostly starts placing in good companies.. I don't have idea of companies visited In mechanical highest package was around 20 lpa and average was around 8 lakhs per annum..

Campus is very lush green and clean as whole
Placement packages are good enough according to nit
Cultural clubs are also good enough to participate

Dislikes

Teachers are not very qualified and experienced
Guards are also not good. They just poke
Placements are not that good respect to other college

Students become eligible for placements from 4th year i.e 7th sem of the college. The placement percentage is nearly 60-70% and the placements are average for core branches but avg to good for cse branch

hostel life is quiet amazing . we enjoy a lot . the atmosphere in the hostel is amazing and fun
there are many programs going on every month to make us indulge in fun activities
course structure is pretty good , everything is properly structured and well preciszed

Dislikes

lack of interaction within the class . students dont communicate much with each other except friends
mess food is sometimes not up to the mark
sometimes there are multiple quizes on a single day

Placement Experience:

from 5th sem students become eligible for campus placement . companies like google , microsoft , amazon visits the campus and have many offers . highest packages were 52 lpa by google , amazon , microsoft , branchwise percentage of students getting placed varies from 80 to 100 percent . i want a good placement after the degree

Brief About NITJ

Likes

The teachers are well educated with almost everyone having a doctorate.
Labs are well equipped. reading halls are there for self study or group studies. library is open even after 5PM (till 8 PM or 12 PM during exams)
their are various student activity hotspots all around the campus.

Dislikes

there are no AC facility in hostels. You wont require AC for 1-3 year but in final year summers it feel like a necessity
even though are guest industrial lecture, there is hardly any industrial visit
there is no student association that could point out anything wrong in staff or administration

Students are eligible for campus placement in their final year (7th semester). only a few companies made no offers. I can recall only 1 name Nation with NAMO. highest package in Civil branch was 14LPA. Average is 6LPA. for all branches highest was 42LPA with average 12 LPA. placement % is 60-80 among all branches which is improving every year. I am planning for higher education.

The hostel service is quite nice and the cleaning is regular
There is vast availability of food in the campus
Sports facilities are also great and tournaments are regularly conducted

Dislikes

Connectivity to city is very poor and less availability of supplies
The class schedules are a mess and needs improvement
The availability of information is very low

The culture of juniors and seniors is very good.
The campus is beautiful and there are many facilities.

My experience at NIT Jalandhar

Likes

Good senior and junior interaction, you will be surrounded with intelligent people.
The professor are too hardworking and intelligent and they will provide you all the necessary support related to studies
The college infrastructure is too good and have two libraries for studies and two Lectures theatre for studies

Dislikes

Mess food is not upto the level the chappattis are not well cooked and their mix veg is too bad
Not good connectivity from main city we have to take 50 rs auto from city and cantt station and sometime they charge even 200
Not so many bookshops always there is a single vendor monopoly he charges too much this days NITJ Bookshop charges too much

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate 4 on 5 to the course curriculum . It is relevant to new trends and technologies. The core chemical engineering motivated me to take this course. The curriculum prepare too well us for future jobs and higher studies. In improvement i would say to the teacher to provide us ppts and adopt modern technologies for lecture. The exam frequency is good 2 time in a day and the difficulty level is moderate and the paper is mostly from the lecture of teachers

From 7th semester onwards student is allowed to sit in placement. Average package of chemical engineering is 7.45 lpa with highest package of 15.42 lpa offered by amazon and placement percentage is 91 percent. Major companies for chemical engineering are Reliance, vedanta, trident, BPCL etc.

Very good infrastructure and facilities for students
Atmosphere is really up skilling like the students are here all achievers in their respective fields
Faculty also is quite supportive in respect to other ones

Dislikes

Very poor boys to girls ratio that is 1:5
Curriculum should be updated we are still thought 30 years old syllabus
More practical knowledge should be provided than theoretical

Placement Experience:

Good placements in comparison to other private college where there is almost zero placements but here still if student is doing good in his academics he can grab a handsome paying job and can brag about it in front of others

Mechanical in NIT Jalandhar:

4-5 senior faculty members are excellent. Every ad-hock is very poor and useful in any way. Undergraduate research opportunities are limited, but you can participate in mechanical teams and learn a lot at international-level competitions and race events, or you can start your own. Self-knowledge is the only source of knowledge. If you want, you can get the most out of your knowledge and experience by leaving here. In terms of numbers, placement is excellent. For a long time, the campus has been dominated by PSUs and automobile companies. This includes excellent companies involved in the core design, the power sector, and the energy sector. They don't go there very often, but the overall placement is excellent.

CSE: Students have good grades and get good jobs as a result of the market boom. Some students are very good learners who work hard for their studies and knowledge, but this type of student is between the ages of 8 and 10. The remaining 80 people dance, sing, and participate in other activities.

ECE: Faculty members are friendly and helpful. Students are exceptional. Placements are good, and some students study the entire CSE curriculum to get the job. If you want to come here, you must choose with your mind, consider all aspects, and think wisely.
