First thing i like about this campuse is its beautiful like really beautiful.
Here some teachers are really good and helpful which encourages for better performance in every field
Students can get so many scholarship opportunities once they join this institute like for students living in jk or students with good cgpa.

Dislikes

Professors are not that good as expected,need to understand concepts from youtube
This is quite difficult to afford for a middle class family but there are fee waiver also
Hostels are not that good and have only fans not even cooler so it is difficult in summers washrooms are also not well mantained food is also not that good overall hostels are very unhygienic and are not well mantained

When I'm in NITJ see what I got.

Likes

I like infrastructure and cleanness of college also ground is big, and there lots of club to join.
I like senior behaviour they're more friendly may be because college is strict about ragging but this makes good compatability.
There is not any type of gender discrimination all are Free to do anything like participating in any club or group you like.

Dislikes

Firstly as I'm not regular school going boy so I don't like burden of attendance so for me there is atleast 60% must or proxy type things. because college students need some space for exploring things.
As college infrastructure is good but some hostels are more good so there is need of equality I think.
Canteen things are over rated I think there is need of fixing rate of things as in outside.

Placement Experience:

I think from 5th or 6th semester students can able to eligible for placement. Don't know exact data about the company company coming but there is good placement rate. 1.3CR highest package this year branch chemical engineering. In my Branch ICE there is more than 95% placement rate.

A true life of a student at nit jalandhar

Likes

Large campus area of 155 acres having all sorts of sports facilities like basketball court,badminton,chess etc
The seniors are really helpful and there is no sign of ragging at all.
The Clubs are great and really help you indulge in various activities

Dislikes

I have one teacher who is really strict in lab work creating unecessary burden
The classmates and the overall environment is depressing.
Every single one talks about grades cgpa etc rather than a normal talk or asking each others health

Placement Experience:

Campus placment is good especially in the cse branch last year the highest went upto 52lpa while average increasing to 15lpa compared to 13lpa last year. The placements are offered in 4th year while internships in 3rd year.The top companies include google,microsoft,adobd etc.The percentage of students placed is really high of 91% which is consistent from past few years.My plans are to get in a big tech comapny like google or microsoft as the role of software developer.

Honest Truth About NITJ

Likes

The peer group here is very healthy . The seniors are very helpful and respectful
Lush green campus and extremely clean campus
Classroom facilities and laboratories are very well designed

Dislikes

Hostels can be improved and can get air conditioned the whole college is air conditioned except the hostels
A separate ground should be allotted to cricket as football and cricket share a common ground

Placement Experience:

placement percentages are extremely good 95% placements is no joke and in some branches they have touched 100% placement mark which is commendable and recently as student was hired at a package of 1.16Cr in Honk Kong but besides that average package can be improved

Having some good infrastructure and connectivity inside college is good
There are 3-4 canteens if you want to eat from outside other then mess
Also having juice shops and having good sports facilities

Dislikes

Mess is way too small to for bh1 hostel here
There is in-time of 7pm for freshers in starting days
Having too much hactic schedule everyday here

As of now I'm not fully confirmed about the placement scenarios of college but yeah I know that this year, 20% of students got 15+ lpa of package So I'm confident that college can also provide me good package

Likes

mess fees is too good and full green campus
Teachers are supportive and chill in nature
rooms are spacious and no ragging by seniors

Dislikes

restrictions are too much, and gym timings are for freshers is in morning only
teachers do no speak in the mic given in class
too much hot weather in jalandhar city punjab

Placement Experience:

placements are too goo, recently someone from chem. got a package of 1.18 cr. avg is around 12 lakh and everyone here gets placed, 100% placement. google amazon microsoft everyone visits in placement season

Lesser batch size and can easily come in top 2 to 3%of students
Good and qualified facilities help in acedemics
Well maintained and fully ac classes including projectors, leds and digital podium

Dislikes

Heard like hostel facilities are not up to mark
Till now the construction is going on and construction is very slow
Must increase their conveyance facilities for day scholars

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is interactive and have added various new thing like in the engineering graphics subject they have added the software like autocad instead of traditional drawings... And in eme they provide the real life assignments projects . The exams are of approx 3 hrs and difficulty level is what that is taught in class

My experience about my collage

Likes

First think I like my college is that their hospatility and well behaviour persons
Second thing I like here it's sports faculty was very good and also have well play ground
Third think here class room was fully AC and comfortable bench and also have a good professors

Dislikes

1 think I dislike here time table bcz 1 year are not allowed outside the hostal after 7 pm
Second thing here no big shop where we buy all imp things
Third thing is when rain come here then they not have well draining system

Placement Experience:

I think mostly after 3 year student got placed and many are trying . Here many companies are visited like Google amzone swiggy meesho zomato and other may core branch company here higest package is 118lpa and avg. Is nearly 15lpa My plan after getting the degree I mention previous question

Nice internship opportunities and support available in NITJ

Likes

Curriculum is updated on regular basis according to industries placement needs .
There is enormous tools , machineries, resources available in campus for research and study
There is friendly environment, seniors are like big siblings they help a lot

Dislikes

There is minimum 75% attendance criteria which should not be there
There is more focus on the academic, time management is difficult due to hectic time table
There is no proper shopping centers within campus, the already present one's charge very high than regular prices

Placement Experience:

6th semester Many big companies like Google , amazon , flipkart,zomato , microsoft, companies come in campus placement, no of offer i am not sure Highest placement is 12000000?, In most of branches placement percentage is around 100 percent. To study more

Has almost all the sports facilities such as GYM, Basketball, Football/Cricket Ground, Chess/Carrom Room, Table Tennis Rooms in the campus and int the hostels as well. Badminton Court, and other athletic facilities.
Beautiful Infrastructure, buildings and Labs.
Very supportive faculties in Biotechnology

Dislikes

Poor placements for Biotechnology department, as no core companies visits for the Biotech placements. And many of the tech companies don't allow biotech for sitting in the placements.
No Big Star at the Annual college fests such as Utkansh, Techniti. Biggest stars visited at our campus inculdes Jubin Nautiyal, Ninja, Akhil.
Some of the faculties do discrimination between Biotech and other upper branches.

Placement Experience:

For Biotechnology, placements are very poor. The average on campus package of Biotech student is around 6 LPA, and only 5-6 students get placed among a batch of 49 students. Around 10-12 companies allowed Biotechnology for placements. Highest package for Biotech 2025 batch is 11LPA Lowest Package is 3.5 LPA

The Reputation of the college was considerably good.
The Clubs and societies made the college life engaging and active
The placement rate is above average for all departments

Dislikes

The placement is not as good as i had heard before joining
Lack of training and guidance from placement prespective

There were many placement opportunity starting from the august and even though the companies were considerably less int he 8th sem, there were still class till after the graduation. though it was not as good as i had heard before joining the organisation

Is mechanical and electronics in NIT Jalandhar as good as CS in the same college?

Mechanical in NIT Jalandhar:

4-5 senior faculty members are excellent. Every ad-hock is very poor and useful in any way. Undergraduate research opportunities are limited, but you can participate in mechanical teams and learn a lot at international-level competitions and race events, or you can start your own. Self-knowledge is the only source of knowledge. If you want, you can get the most out of your knowledge and experience by leaving here. In terms of numbers, placement is excellent. For a long time, the campus has been dominated by PSUs and automobile companies. This includes excellent companies involved in the core design, the power sector, and the energy sector. They don't go there very often, but the overall placement is excellent.

CSE: Students have good grades and get good jobs as a result of the market boom. Some students are very good learners who work hard for their studies and knowledge, but this type of student is between the ages of 8 and 10. The remaining 80 people dance, sing, and participate in other activities.

ECE: Faculty members are friendly and helpful. Students are exceptional. Placements are good, and some students study the entire CSE curriculum to get the job. If you want to come here, you must choose with your mind, consider all aspects, and think wisely.
