Course Curriculum Overview

4

curriculum is good with ample amount of free time in our batch for extra curricular activities. College proveides so much exposure with the clubs like gdgc and kaushalam etc. in tech domain. frequency of exams is moderate

Internships Opportunities

5

paypal, JP morgan chase, capegemini all give internships here to both cse and non cse students i myself amd willing to take internship in 2nd year itself so i can hone my skill in tech domain and earn some money

Placement Experience

5

placements are too goo, recently someone from chem. got a package of 1.18 cr. avg is around 12 lakh and everyone here gets placed, 100% placement. google amazon microsoft everyone visits in placement season

Fees and Financial Aid

Per sem fees is 90k for odd sem and 88k for even sem. Scholarship is not there for any student without fee waiver, 10k is the caution fees which will be returned after 4 years of college. People with below 1 lakh family income do not pay any fees just mess fees

Campus Life

4

utkansh, acoustic night, techfest i dont know it yet but there are so many of them. fully ac rooms with good quality workshops and labs are provided here. environment is great. other groups are chetna kaushalam etc

Hostel Facilities

5

hostels are good with best food quality, rooms are okayish not too small but managaeble, badminton and volleyball court are there inside the hostel and everything around here is just too great. thankyou

Admission

i only applied for this college as it was the best in my rank and also branch is chem. where i can get ample free time to do coding and all. rejection yes i got rejected by iits bcz my rank was not sufficient

Faculty

4

we have one faculty for each subject, all are approachable and cool. RK arya is the best in best. I donit like radhakrishnan sir for his monotonous lectures. Quiz is next week then mid sems too are coming

Night Life

5

nightlife right now is 0 because freshers are enclosed in hostel. not allowed to go out after 7pm. gym is well equipped but timings are separate for every one. overall it is good. best part is the library, its pretty cool

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
