- Limited exposure outside campus, fewer opportunities for external workshop , seminars and inter college interactions.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is relevent to the field of Textile Technology and covers both theoritical and practical aspects. core subjects help in buiding a strong foundation, and lab work supports conceptual understanding. The curriculum influenced my decision as it focuses on industry related topics, though some subjects feel more theory oriented . Teaching methoda are mostly traditional an there is scope for addingg more practical and industry linked content.
Placement Experience
Campus placements are good , for textile technology average package is low . and placements depends largely on individual skills cgpa , and interest in core textile field. Overall , placement support exists but students should not rely completely on campus placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for B.Tech is quite reasonable compared to many other engineering colleges. The college fee is around 25000 per semester, which mainly includes tuition fee and other academic charges for students having family income less than 1lpa.. In addition to this there is a one time admission fee approx 75000 which includes your Tuition fee for 1st semester at the time of admission. Forstudents opting for accomodation, the hostel fee is 25000 per semester, which is affordable considering the facilities provided. There has been no significant change in fee struture over the years, which makes financial planning easier for students and their families. Although I did not personally recieve any scholarship . tyhe college does offer various scholarships for eligible students. Overall, considering the good infrastructure academic facilities , placements, and stable fee structure , the course is affordable, though the college being slightly away from the main city may add minor living or travel expenses. Affordability rating 4.5/5.
Campus Life
Campus lif eis calm and disciplined with a focus on academics. annual cultural and technical events are organized though they arelimited in scale. the library has a decent collection of academic books and journals relevent to the course. there are some student activities clubs , sports clubs, but o verall social life is quiter compared to city based colleges. overall campus life is suitable for students who prefer a focused academi cenvironment.
Hostel Facilities
For girls , the college has newly constructed hostels with decent facilities , roooms are mostly 2 seaters each having 2 beds 2 almirahs and two separate study tables. the rooms and common areas are well maintained and overall cleanliness is good. The hostel food is adequate and hygienic.
Admission
I applied to a few engineering colleges through the councelling process, but this college offered me admission in B.Tech Textile Technology based on my rankand eligibility. I chose this college over others mainly because of decent infrastructure and ranking. The admission process was smooth and transparent, withh clear guidelines during councelling and document verification.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is adequate ,and most faculty members are approachable for academic doubts. some teachers are knowledgeable and supportive ,especially in core subjects, but the overall teaching approach is not very competitive . at times , internal assessment and evaluation feel slightly baised . The course curriculum is relevant and structured and examination includes mid semester and end semester exams ,exams are of moderate difficulty depending on the professor, attendance must be more than 75% to be eligible for end semester exam .
Night Life
Nightlife around the college is quite limited . For girls, the in time is 10PM ,while boys do not have a strict in time. most canteens and food outlets inside the campus usually closes around 10PM, except one or two that remains open all night. The students are advised not to stay outside the college premise late night due to safety concerns and theft incidentsnin nearby areas. Overall , the environment is more regulated and safety focused rather than nightlfe oriented.
