Course Curriculum Overview

i am currently pursung IT and itmotivates me to write code since i was taught java in class 8 in isce school and the current boom of ai and ml such as chat gpt and various other platforms motivated me to take cs/it.

Internships Opportunities

Internship seen is little downvoted in this college we had several big companies such as microsoft which gave stipend of 1.25 lpa and expedia group and many more companies. Last year there was amazon , google as welll.

Placement Experience

after 6th semester people become elgible for placements numerous mncs visited the campus such as microsoft(intern + placement ) 52lpa , uber 65lpa , google 52lpa and several others a guy from chemical bagged 1.2Cr HOng Kong package form chemical branch.

Fees and Financial Aid

General fee (family income > 5lpa) total 93,000/year for family income 1-5 lpa it is 51,340 /year Hostel Mess is almost 36000/semester full waiver for family income < 1lpa centerand state sponsored scholarships are available

Campus Life

the technical and cultural festivals are quite vibrant and celebrated with much enthusisam and a great atmosphere can be seen .. recently wehad garba night , janmashtami , ganesh chaturthi with wholesome vibes

Hostel Facilities

First year students get bh1 bh2 bh5 where bh1 and bh 2 are four seater and they are quit big rooms and first year food is also very good and varity is served while bh5 is two - seaterr .... registration process is quite smooth and less hectic

Admission

i arranged college according to my jee mains rank and i scored 98.9 percentile in prestigious jee mains examination and according to that i got nit jalandhar it which was my 36th choice on the list so i am really enjoying my time at nit jalandhar

Faculty

student to teacher ratio is good and teachers are very much availabel i like simran jit sir the most because his way of teaching i good and kind of very chill teacher and i dont like kusum mamm naveen sir they are quite strict while paper checing

Night Life

Gym is availabe for all students even professors atime is allocated for every year where you can exercise and all kinds of accessories are available. Library is of two types new and old ... new library consists of 4 floors with computers and AC

Like at IET

Course Curriculum Overview:

I went for CSe bcz it has best career scope. The curriculum is comprehensive but a bit heavy. It touches almost all topics but didn't go deep into latest tech like AI or Cloud computing, which was a drawback. Improvements? Definitely the teaching style. Some profs are good but many rush through the syllabus to finish it. They should include more project based learning instead of just theory exams. Exams are manageable. We have typical sem system. Timing is predictable but sometimes the schedule is very tight with no gaps between papers. Difficulty wise its okay, most students study a week before exams and manage to clear them.

My Journey and experience at my College

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate and usually starts from the 7th Semester . A few Service based Companies visit with average packages of 3-4 Lpa . Around 40 - 50 % students get placed. I plan to upskill and pursue higher studies or better job opportunities

LPU is indeed a professional university!

Placement Experience:

Around 600 recruiters so far has hired students from LPU. Not just domestic but even international names have hired students from LPU. So, I don't think one even has to look beyond LPU for that matter. I am happy that students from here have got the opportunity to work in their dream companies and soon I will be giving interviews as I am also in my final year now.

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

On campus Placements are average here. The highest package goes to 19 lakhs and Average package is 3-4 lakhs per annum. However we can not expect any MNC to visit this campus but the companies for freshers and to gain experience visit the campus.

Life at NIT Jalandhar : A comprehensive student perspective

I applied to several institutions including NIT Jalandhar, NIT Srinagar and UIET Hoshiarpur And Pec Chandigarh But choose NIT Jalandhar due to its robust placement record well recognised NIT brand and strong industry connections. NIT Jalandhar offers better infrastructure, facility expertise and peer environment compared to other options I had while I got confirmed admissions from uiet Hoshiarpur and nit Jalandhar my preference for a national level campus experience and comprehensive curriculum lead me here. My JEE main rank mit nit Jalandhar's cutoff whereas I couldn't qualify for top iits due to higher cut off the admission process is straightforward students must clear JEE main participate in Jossa counselling and meet annual cut offs .The eligibility is 75% in class 12th And a valid JEE main score. I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
