Course Curriculum Overview

4

As I scored decent Mark in JEE I think this is best course I got as my Marks. There is improvement important specially in take field because we're given jee exam we know as much physics and chemistry as important so teach us what going to be good for us in future because no need to go with flow . Exam timing is good nothing extra there can be but I think subject should be reduced and sallabus should also be take oriented.

Internships Opportunities

4

I think internship apportunity are mostly for 3rd 4rt year student can grab in 1st year we are really don't understand about that but i see in group there is lots of messages about internship program and email too.

Placement Experience

5

I think from 5th or 6th semester students can able to eligible for placement. Don't know exact data about the company company coming but there is good placement rate. 1.3CR highest package this year branch chemical engineering. In my Branch ICE there is more than 95% placement rate.

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise college fee is since I'm SC so 56000 per year, for me tution fee waived (SC), I have paid in Jossa extra 5000 it was platform fee for councelling perpose, in 1st year you have to pay 10000 in hostel+mess fee i think for security purposes may it is returned back after completion of degree, my batch mate like who is belong to general category and his family income above 1 but under 5 lakh he has to pay extra 20840 as tution fee it's like that if someone general or OBC family income more than 5 lakh per annum they should pay 62500 tution fee per year it is quite good because they are able to pay for that, there is types of scholarship available on college website like nsp and FFE etc . As I'm New here but it is quite comfortable only one thing which I don't know about that there is must 75% attendence and they are very strict about that , as I'm not regular school going boy for me it's very deficult to menage but there is one thing which I should must add holiday Saturday and Sunday . It is quite relaxed for me. I completed my schooling in jnv so for me I'm very comfortable with my hostel and roommate they all are good. I'm really happy after comming here as I'm very far from home but very good infrastructure and weather here.

Campus Life

4

Because there is many technical groups of students so I think more than 7 tech fest going per year. There is drone, AI and coding group too this is good for us. Sports are going good many type of sports going on mostly volleyball and basketball and football too as I'm cricketer for me it's really sad there is no separate group for cricket.

Hostel Facilities

4

In room as I'm in BH5 there is two seater room mostly and one tube light and one fan. Meal quality quite good we can say not bad also type of meal they provide is good they are providing varieties of food.

Admission

I'm in nit jalandhar I have application in jossa councelling as nirf ranking bases and placement based. I got this college as my 1st round and here I'm. Admission process is very comfortable because everything is online basis so on physical reporting it is very smooth.

Faculty

4

I'm new here but I think lot's of faculty there I don't know exact ratio but it's good. Faculty are good as I'm student they are not really annoying as every says about colleges. I don't like that type of faculty who suddenly ask questions after teaching because I'm not grab much things in class there is need to study in hostel with myself. 4 exam's are in one year. 2 in one semester. I don't know exact data of students but 90% above students able to clear exams.

Night Life

5

There is larger Gym as with new facility. Library is very good there is two types of library both are good online PDF also available there and some computer facilities are there for who has no laptop. Hostel timings is about 7-8am break fast and 12-1pm lunch and 8-9 dinner.

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The placement of our college is good but its lack to bring big names but overall it's 3 out of 5 as it's basically focus on bringing software companies but our stream is of electronics so we donot have that much knowledge about coding so we lack to get placed this is the only disadvantage of the placement cell here

In 3rd semester a student is eligible for campus placement but it is all upto to students that they have to maintain a good cgpa and skills for interviews. In Chitkara university a good number of companies visited like Microsoft, google and they provide 100+ offerletters. 85-90 % students get placed in Chitkara university. After getting degree I firstly join to the company .

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
