My branch is instrumentation and control engineering.. Which provides real life usage of complex machines Use of various sensors... And mainly focus upon working of different control systems in heavy industries It focussed on the measuring various parameters like temperature pressure humidity etc It also emphasises on integration of circuits Its curriculum compromises the use of matlab It is multi discipline course comprising mechanics electronics and incorporates use of computer science engineering in circuits

As I am in 1st year I don't have so much idea about it but in my knowledge that I get from seniors intership opportunity in nit j offered by college is not good. Not so much companies visit... And we have to try hard off campus for it around 30 percent students get a internship

As my college is an nit it's a premiere instrtite of india . It provides good placement and internship opportunities. Placement of nit j in ice branch is very good for past few years .. my branch has an avg pakage of about 11-12 lpa in 2024 and 9.5 lpa median pakage. It has placement in both core and it field around 70% tech companies allow ice to sit for placement with computer domain students. The students are eligible for placement from 5th or 6th sem onwards .. and the placement percentage of nit j is about 90-95%. In ice branch .... Highest recorded was about 52 lpa . I myself believe that I would get some placement but if I couldn't get by college I must have developed some skills that will help me for off campus placements and if I won't get I would prefer higher studeis. And I aspire to see my parents happy after placement

The tution fee of my clg for gen/obc income above 8lpa is 62,500 rs per sem for 8 sem And for sc/st cat there is a full fee waiver in tution fees And for gen/obc income 1-5 lpa tution fee is 1/3rd of original And for income less than 1 lpa fee is 0

If we tell about overall campus life of nit j it is quite good there is a cultural fest named utakansh held every year in nit j around March. It's the biggest fest of nit j.. it is very good and there are too many clubs in the college for different interests..... Like ladc for debate and netra for photography etc. The startup culture of college is not so great There are not so much big startups from nit j The library is well stored with books it has many books which we can isuue from there and use it for studies. But wifi here in college is a big issue

In nit j first year students live in bh1 BH2 and bh5 hostels bh1 and bh2 provides 4 seater rooms The rooms are quite spacious and have each room have a balcony and access to college wifi network But there are only 3 tables and chairs in each room one have to suffer by it. The foos quality is okayish but not too good the taste is not good for night dinner the registration proces is simple and done by online allotment and after the physical reporting in college is done we have to report in hostel and we are alloted with the room

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north

In our academic department of ice branch there are 6 subjects in the first semester and 3 labs. The subjects are basic electrical engineering, mathematics 1, english communication, applied physics, environmental science (es) and computer programming , and we have labs for English, computer programming and es. Our bee teacher name is mr Narinder Singh his voice is too low but quite good in teaching ... I personally too much like the teaching of our ma1 teacher deepika rani she is so good in his teaching skiils and passionate to teach . Ec- shyam Kiran Kaur .. good overall Cp- sumit Kumar... Decent experience Es - Sangeeta oberoi not good overall Ap- shubhchintak sir a complete disaster as he is a new join prof in our college

The night life of nit jalandhar for 1st year Students is zero as there is a restriction on students to reach the hostel by a certain time. My hostel in nit j is BH2 for first year and we have to reach hostel by 7pm and we can't go out in night even if we have to buy stationary or food item etc but we can't go out there
