NIT Jalandhar B.Tech Mechanical Engineering: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

As i am student whoes parent's annual income is less than 5 lakhs so i got consession in my fees. My annual fees for my program (Mechanical Engineering) is 90000 approx. My batchmates who have annual income of less than 1 lakh , there fee is 40000 for a year, whereas whoes income is more than 5 lakhs yearly, there fees is 2 lakh approx. But there are many scholarship programs which provide some relief from fees and help students to achieve their education.

I pay 1 lakh per year including both hostel and institute fee.There is hardly any increase in fees over my years in college. There are many scholarship available both on an institution level and at Central govt level.NSP Scholarship has many scholarships schemes for different categories.There are also many private scholarships that students can avail like FFE Scholarship, Reliance Scholarship etc. The fee structures are also available to public on college website.Students can refer for further details.

Btech fees for gen/obc with income above 5 lakh is 1.25 lakh rs per year as tuition. Plus around 70000:yr for hostel, mess and other charges. One time refundable caution money of 15k is paid in first year. Income between 1-5lakh , fees is 41666rs. And income below 1 lakh - tuition fees is waived off

I am Khushbu Mandaiya belongs to the category SC As there is no tuition fee for the SC category students. One of my friend she belongs to the category general and she paid 61500/- for the tuition fee.

FIrst od all I am saying a SC student so I have to pay only hostel mess charges which is around 35500 per semester. And for btech students there is many scholarships are provides in nitj; such as ongc,nsp etc.. Now I am sharing the fees of my batchmates whose not belong to my categories.. one is general , he has to pay around 1.5 lakhs as a tution fees, one is obc-ncl , he has to pay 85000 tution fee.. Now as a hostellerwe have to pay an additional 25000 in the starting of second sem... and after our first year the remaining amount from our mess bill will be given to us...

For general and OBC students with annual income above 5lakh- 88000/- per semester. For general and OBC students with annual income between 1 and 5lakh- 46340/- per semester. For SC/ST, general and OBC students with annual income below 1lakh-25500/- per semester. SC ST OBC and general EWS students can avail scholarships like FFE and NSP

I don't have much idea about campus employment opportunities (if it was relevant on campus, I would have known) Scholarships are there but I didn't get any of those I applied for. I took an edu loan for my expenses which will be 51k for academics and 50k for mess annually. nothing about the fee increase policy I know of. fee structure for the full course is provided and fixed.

fees is similar to all nit's as they offer scholarships to sc,st student with full tution fees waiver and need based scholarship on the basis of their family income like family income below 1 lakh/yr entire fees waiver 1-5 lakh/year around 66% waiver resulting to fees about 94680/yr and no scholarship for income more than 5 lakh

When you get admission will have to pay 10000 fees which is refundable.if your income certificate less than 100000,you don't need to pay your academic fees you have to pay only other charges which is 25000 and hostel+ mess fees which is also 25000.your income certificate greather than 100000 and less than 500000 you have to pay 2/3 Of academic fees which is 62500 and mess and other charges same and your income certificate>500000 you have to pay full academic fees .
