- First thing that strike my mind while considering the likes in the campus will be definetly the professors.In my branch proffesors are better helping students and guiding them.I can say this because in the first year we had subjects of other brances
- sports facilities and support.fully active sports members and gym

- food availabilities.many of them are unhygenic and expensive(except nescafe but costly )
- responds from academic section for some documents or information are not good enough and delay

I don't have much idea about campus employment opportunities (if it was relevant on campus, I would have known) Scholarships are there but I didn't get any of those I applied for. I took an edu loan for my expenses which will be 51k for academics and 50k for mess annually. nothing about the fee increase policy I know of. fee structure for the full course is provided and fixed.

- its crowd is decent mostly from punjab region only and up and rajasthan

- there fest are boring and doesn't have much fun for me
- its location is big turnoff factor as it is around 15 km away from the city and have difficulty in reaching college as auto driver if alone charges a lot

fees is similar to all nit's as they offer scholarships to sc,st student with full tution fees waiver and need based scholarship on the basis of their family income like family income below 1 lakh/yr entire fees waiver 1-5 lakh/year around 66% waiver resulting to fees about 94680/yr and no scholarship for income more than 5 lakh

- Location is good for view but market is too far from there

When you get admission will have to pay 10000 fees which is refundable.if your income certificate less than 100000,you don't need to pay your academic fees you have to pay only other charges which is 25000 and hostel+ mess fees which is also 25000.your income certificate greather than 100000 and less than 500000 you have to pay 2/3 Of academic fees which is 62500 and mess and other charges same and your income certificate>500000 you have to pay full academic fees .

- I really liked the sports facilities of the college
- The library and reading room facilities.

- The campus Life is not good. The campus is full.
- The weather here is not good . The summer season is unbearable.

This is a government institution so the tution fee is quite affordable. The complete fees for my 4 years course is around 9 lakhs .There are a lot of scholarships for SC/ST,OBC and PWD students. I have listen from college seniors that the placement of our Mechanical branch is quite good of our college . There is 100% placement in this year from our branch.

- Attendence Criteria is too high to be maintained
- There is no relative marking done as such.

I feel like course fee is completely worth it. It may cost around 8-10 lpa in general case but if you have family income less than 5lpa than it will fetch you nearly half of it. Some alumini as well government scholarships are also provided giving you financial assistance

- Food is not very good along with the hostel
- Hectic schedule for day , didn't leave time for trying out different things

- Lab does not have latest computer.We use drafter to draw the engineering drawing assignment in this world of computer era.
- Some teachers are strict.They don't give you full marks if I have written all the answers

Which college should I take for mechanical engineering? I am confused among PEC Chandigarh, NIT Kurukshetra, and NIT Jalandhar.
NIT Kurukshetra or PEC Chandigarh are the best options for you. You can certainly cross NIT Jalandhar off your list.
The practical labs at NITJ are not well-equipped, and the majority of the equipment is broken. The faculty, on the other hand, is excellent. You should not make NITJ your top priority.
