First thing i like about this campuse is its beautiful like really beautiful.
Here some teachers are really good and helpful which encourages for better performance in every field
Students can get so many scholarship opportunities once they join this institute like for students living in jk or students with good cgpa.

Dislikes

Professors are not that good as expected,need to understand concepts from youtube
This is quite difficult to afford for a middle class family but there are fee waiver also
Hostels are not that good and have only fans not even cooler so it is difficult in summers washrooms are also not well mantained food is also not that good overall hostels are very unhygienic and are not well mantained

Beware if you are going to choose NITJ.

Likes

The gym here is well equipped, but theres only only one with strict timings.
The clubs and student culture here is supportive.
The faculty to student ratio, this is really good here.

Dislikes

The food here, be it mess or canteens the food is the worst.
The extent of focus on academics, here everyone is really strict.
Campus is small, it feels like there is nowhere to go.

Placement Experience:

4th year onwards companies visit for placements. The placement situation is okay I guess, far better than private colleges. All the MAANG and reputed companies visit. The highest average is for CSE viz 16 lakhs and the average for mechanical is 9.8 lakhs. The highest package offered is 1.3 crores from amazon and Google offers 50-80 lakhs. In mechanical 100% of students are placed while for other branches it is available on the institute website.

Tech lovers dont opt for mechanical

Campus life is quite good, In monsoon seasons the college is very good to look around
Faculty is experienced and some are very friendly and good nature
Some building are quite good. New library which is opening soon is quite good and has centralised ac facility

Dislikes

Campus is very small and far away from city
Faculty is quite old needs replacement very grumpy strict and full of attitude

Placement Experience:

From the 4th sem students start to get internship opportunities from there on in the 7th sem there are campus placements. Several companies like Amazon microsoft wipro tcs and several other companies visit the campus. the percentage of students placed is nearly 95% with an average package of 9 lakh. the highest package for the mechanical branch is 15 lakh. I plan to sit in college placements and get a good job

Likes

Good faculty and very helpful teachers and students
Very good campus life and very green campus
Hostle and sports grounds are good and gym also

Dislikes

Food was okay and needs to be improved more
Building and infrastructure of the college need to be improved
Intership opportunity are less and companies need to be visit

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have opted computer science and engineering course because I like to do computer science and also I like coding and want to go to product-based companies like amazon and all and the faculty of the nit Jalandhar is very good and all the teachers are very well qualified and all were very helpful and my best teacher is Shefali Arora mam that teaches me the data structure and algorithms subject.

Genuine point of view

Likes

Lecture theatres are quite good with Air Conditioners.
New library is also good with ample number of relevant books.
Canteens are verry good specially Nescafe and Campus cafe.

Dislikes

Mess food is not good, need too much improvement.
Campus area is very less compares to other colleges.
All faculties are not cooperative in nature.

Placement Experience:

There are many types of jobs opportunity after completing the course like if you want to go with on-campus placements then you have an edge as you have to compete with your peers only but for off-campus placements, you have to compete with the huge no. of competitors.

I like the library and infrastructures of college. Specifically the lecture theatre
Also I like the environment of competition as a mechanical student
Best thing is that seniors are very supportive and no worries of ragging.

Dislikes

faculty and their behavior with students.

I choose this course because of my keen interest in the mechanical department and also in physics for a very long period of time. Also talking about its faculty they are kind of strict which is necessary for us.

College with High Ups and Down

Likes

The greenery of he campus, there are a lot of trees around.
There is some wildlife also, some peacocks and wild animals(not dangerous)
the cafes and the outside canteens offers some good food.

Dislikes

the Food of the hostel mess. The workers always cook bad food.
Sometimes the weather is very humid here .
You may have some bad experiences with the sports facilitities and paper work.

Placement Experience:

The maximum placements are there In Computer Science and the average CTC is 12 Lakhs, the maximum having 1.25 crore of my one senior but that was OFF campus, ECE branch sometimes has higher packages than the CSE for some students.

Campus Our campus is quite clean with lush greenery

Hostel The room we have got is quite small for 2 people
Mess The food in mess is mostly not eatable

I choose this course as this was the best option with the best NIT which I could get according to my rank. And I had some interest in mechanical as a branch also and my NIT Jalandhar also comes in top. The faculty is really and also very supportive to us.

Decent college

Likes

The NIT is valueable if i want to pursue education further.
The lecture halls are good and they are air conditioned.
Average package is decent considering current scenario.

Dislikes

Only 4 canteens are available in campus which, at best serve okayish food.
College is located 14km away from jalandhar city, so going to the city is not easy.
It is very difficult to live in hostels during summers as we have to survive only with a fan.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements at my college are good, the average package B.Tech here stands at 9.8 lakhs. The students become eligible for campus placements in the seventh semester. Almost all big companies like Microsoft, oracle, nvidia, etc visit our campus for placements. The highest package of 2022 was 1.2 crores at Google for developer roles. 90 percent of students get placed. I am planning for an MBA after this degree.

Faculity is well experienced and strict. They are ready to help you.
Placements are very good.

Dislikes

Mess foood sometimes is very bad. Food quality is average. If you want to have sweets in diet they put them in extera.
Campus is very Small as compared to the other NIT's.

Placement Experience:

Form 7th sem they are eligible for placements. Many companies do visit like Microsoft, Flipkart, Honda, Google, AMAZONE and many more. The highest package is 1.2 Crore. The average is 6 lacs. 80-90% of students get placed. To get a good job.

Likes

Mess food is wonderful with word class chefs and multi-continental cusines.
Campus has world class sports facilities.
Professors are graduated from NITs and IITs.

Dislikes

Mess lacks hygiene with tastless and no variety in food served.
Attendance is mandatory and professors are strict about it.
Gym, Indoor gymnasium is closed on sunday.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the 7th semester itself. Microsoft, Amazon, and many MNCs visited campus for recruitment, Approx. 90% of students were placed. I am deciding to pursue a master's after getting a degree.

Is mechanical and electronics in NIT Jalandhar as good as CS in the same college?

Mechanical in NIT Jalandhar:

4-5 senior faculty members are excellent. Every ad-hock is very poor and useful in any way. Undergraduate research opportunities are limited, but you can participate in mechanical teams and learn a lot at international-level competitions and race events, or you can start your own. Self-knowledge is the only source of knowledge. If you want, you can get the most out of your knowledge and experience by leaving here. In terms of numbers, placement is excellent. For a long time, the campus has been dominated by PSUs and automobile companies. This includes excellent companies involved in the core design, the power sector, and the energy sector. They don't go there very often, but the overall placement is excellent.

CSE: Students have good grades and get good jobs as a result of the market boom. Some students are very good learners who work hard for their studies and knowledge, but this type of student is between the ages of 8 and 10. The remaining 80 people dance, sing, and participate in other activities.

ECE: Faculty members are friendly and helpful. Students are exceptional. Placements are good, and some students study the entire CSE curriculum to get the job. If you want to come here, you must choose with your mind, consider all aspects, and think wisely.
