Likes

The greenery of he campus, there are a lot of trees around.
There is some wildlife also, some peacocks and wild animals(not dangerous)
the cafes and the outside canteens offers some good food.

Dislikes

the Food of the hostel mess. The workers always cook bad food.
Sometimes the weather is very humid here .
You may have some bad experiences with the sports facilitities and paper work.

If I talk about my domain(Mech Engg.) the course is a little bit strained, the professors are strict, and never compromise for the quality, It has decent laboratories if someone is keen for research work.

Internships Opportunities

There are internship opportunities in our college, Companies like Amazon and Meta offers Paid internships and Deloitte comes for management interns. In the mechanical domain, companies like Honda and Maruti come but less stipend.

Placement Experience

The maximum placements are there In Computer Science and the average CTC is 12 Lakhs, the maximum having 1.25 crore of my one senior but that was OFF campus, ECE branch sometimes has higher packages than the CSE for some students.

Fees and Financial Aid

So of course there is a fee concession for the SC/STs and OBCs(below 5 lacs.) and there are also scholarship opportunities for the bright students but you would require high grades for that. In CSE, there are a lot of companies coming for placement and CTC is decent.

Campus Life

so we have two annual fests, first is Techniti which is a technical fest, which held in Odd semesters(July-Dec), and the other is Utkansh, Which is in even semester(Jan - Mar), if you like exploring the fests then, this can be for you.

Hostel Facilities

To be honest the hostel facilities are not good, there are three Mega Boys Hostels, accommodating 400 people in total approximately, the room accommodation is bad, and the food is worst here, there are small hostels on the campus, but there are for juniors only.

Admission

The first thing is do fulfill the eligibility criteria, with compels the completion of high school(12th) will passing marks. To get admission, you have to sit in the NTA JEE Mains Exam, and you are required to get at least 92 Percentile marks(just to get a seat in any branch, definitely, a good percentile(98-99) is required for CS and IT ). College academics require religious effort to get and maintain a good CGPA, otherwise, 1-night study before the exam can also work. If you are good at putting effort to achieve something definitely go for it.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Honest is the best Policy

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

The course curriculum is interactive and have added various new thing like in the engineering graphics subject they have added the software like autocad instead of traditional drawings... Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
