A life in my college.

Since I have interests in logical subjects a lot and this really helps me to explore in my chosen desired field. However I am a1st year student there, so honestly saying I need to explore more but here are so many events organized regarding the course curriculum which help us to connect with real world applications. Obviously the teaching is good but there is a hassle of attendance marking in each class. During this time teachers spend 10 minutes in attendances in each class creating a sort of irritation in both fronts ( students and teachers). If the university issues face biometricsystem kf attendances or any digital technology could heal the problem. I don't want to comment on the frequency of exams as I think it's quite enough. But they can increase the difficulty level of exams in the end of each semester which they usually do.

Still in my 1 st /1st semester/year, so I have no more idea right now about the internships offered by the companies. Some of the companies including Deolitte, Google, Infosys, IBM ,etc usually show interests to approach here.

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

I am in Data science specialization and its fees is ?160000 but due to scholarship I got, I am allowed to pay 30 % less. One of my friend is in AIML, fees ?170000 per annum. However the scholarship consistency in each semester depend on the students performances in maintaing Good CGPA (+75%) and attendance (75%) .

Obviously, this is Diwali time, so Diwali extravaganzas like festivals are organized, some of technical events include Smart India hackathon, Coding development skills hackathons, etc. There are a lot of books in each library in each department of the respective courses,. Students do not find themselves resource- less there. There are much to explore in the libraries. Our classrooms have facilities of white board and projectors providing visual analysis to them through projects/ demonstrations. Also students engage in NCC entries ( for defence aspirants like NDA/CDS/AFCAT), dance and musics are also there to attract students attention.

So, I am in the hostel and my hostel is 5 k. M. far from the campus. Usually bus is provided by CU transportation department for our journeys. We needn't to pay for that. Also meal in the mess is good. Especially chass and lassi in the punjab, I like a lot in menu. Juat documents verification is required at admission cell and we can easily get a allotted room in CU hostels. Also some students like to stay in Pg , so they take it near the campus locality .

I have applied for so many exams like VITEEE, BITSAT, COMEDK, and many more apart from JEE. Since I secured only 90 percentile in Jee mains so , I begin to look for private colleges. And I secured 44k rank in VITEEE where getting admission under category 3 during counselling becomes difficult. I fought challenge of unexpected high fees. Again in Bitsat, I was bothering with high fees if I get admitted in B. Pharma. Also.,I get admission in Thapar in civil branch , I qill opt but at that time fees was ?269000 per semester..... Which covers my total 1 year academic fees in CU. In above all colleges that I consider, high fees was a major challenge for us to maintain across all the semesters. So, finally I get admitted to Chandigarh University. Admission process requires CUCET / JEE mains score. Documents must include 12 th marksheet, migration, character certificates, gap year affidavit ( if applicable). Nothing more important.

Obviously there are faculties upto phd. and doctrate level available for mentorships and they are young. For each groups of 30-40 students, 1 teacher is available. My maths and logical thinking teachers are favourite to me as they teach very well. Whereas all teachers are teaching good. So I have no problem with any faculties. There are 2 MSTs exams and 1 final EST exam for each semester.. Papers are in moderate level. But a lot of students find challenges in scoring well due to their backlogs. Generally, 10 % students are able to maintain the respect of the class in all exams. ????????????.

Students after college hours go for Gym in the evening. Also there is a morning slot also. Like 8: 40 a. M. is my bus time and I usually reach @ 9:00 a. m. @ the campus and we get out from there @ 4:25 p. M. after I get into the bus to reach at my hostel. Loclity pf the college is safe, it's around in the village region which lead to get away from the markets.
