Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose mechanical engineering at NITJ because it was the best option for me as per my rank in JEE, also I chose this because of the NIT Tag. Faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:9. Almost all of the faculties have done their B.Tech and M.Tech from different NITs across India and all of them hold a post-doctorate degree. The term exams were held on time and it is a little difficult to pass them.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

There are many internships available in college. Students from core branches are allowed to do internships in their respective domain only. Some of the companies that recruited from our branch were BPCL, HPCL, etc they offered a stipend of about 20000 per month.

Placement Experience

3

Campus placements at my college are good, the average package B.Tech here stands at 9.8 lakhs. The students become eligible for campus placements in the seventh semester. Almost all big companies like Microsoft, oracle, nvidia, etc visit our campus for placements. The highest package of 2022 was 1.2 crores at Google for developer roles. 90 percent of students get placed. I am planning for an MBA after this degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are divided into hostel fees, tuition fees, library fees, fees for medical facilities, and similar things and there is a separate mess fee in our college. Scholarships are there but it's not easy to obtain. There are no campus jobs. There are no fees hike for someone who has joined the college already. It takes almost 6-7 lakhs for a person to complete his degree if one has an income certificate to prove his income is betweeen 5 to 8 lakhs.

Campus Life

3.5

Life at the campus is okayish. There are clubs for basic activities like dance, music, arts, management, and photography but I think there is a need for a more different variety of clubs. Techfest is technician, it is held in November. The annual fest is Utkansh, it is held in March every year. Almost all the books needed for exam preparation are available in the library. Projectors, LED, and two blackboards are available in the classroom and they are air-conditioned.

Admission

One must have cleared JEE main and must clear the cutoff during the JOSAA counseling. There is no application form we only have to apply for JOSAA counseling and fill in our choices there. I availed of the GENERAL-EWS reservation which reserved 10% of seats for economically weaker sections. I don't feel the need of improvement in the admission process as such.

Course Curriculum Overview:

From the begning i was always into tech and computers i liked to make my school persentation on my pc and that's the main reason for taking the stream CSE . The curriculum makes you ready for thr real world application by providing classes for eveything that a student is facing problem. If you ask me for the suggestion then some teachers should change their tecahing methods so that they will help the student in a better way . The frequency and timing of the exam goes like the college conducts two internal exams for the internal marks known as MST and one final exam and the difficulty level is medium

In LPU placement process usually start from 6th semester onwards. Many good companies come to campus like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, Amazon and few product based also. Some startups also visit. The no. of offers are quite large every year because batch size is big. Highest package I heard was around 40 LPA but that is very rare, only 1-2 students get. Average package is around 5–6 LPA for CSE branch. For other branches it is little bit low. Almost 80-85% students who are seriously preparing gets placement from college. College also provide placement training and soft skills classes which help in interviews.
