Really involving, enticing and great atmosphere with faculty having an awesome and friendly attitude.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Curriculum is well versed and totally fair and well driven, the learning is fun and really interesting when the faculty teach, the syllabus is well driven and really great learning of the brain, the regular tests help us learn our topics every day and the group discussion is really involving.

Placement Experience

Placement criteria is well grounded and 70% of the crowd gets placed annually, There is a whole lot of scope for placements and big companies like Google, Volvo and Volkswagen come to our campuses for the placements, The companies and industries take the students and give them a great starter for their career and overall placement experience is well appreciated.

College Events

Star Night, Shri Sukhmani Sahib Paath, Langar, Annual Athletic meet, Cultural events, Jobs fair, entrepreneurship classes, Exposure training, aptitude tests, Workshop training (annually), Gaming competitions and events, all festivals are celebrated with fun and frolic.

Campus life is one of a time experience and really fun and one-time experience, everything is so colorful and every day in my college is so refreshing, the best thing about this life is friends, teachers and full co-operation by the authorities. The gender ratio is different in each branch.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is strong and way huge, the links are really good and bonding among seniors and juniors is really good and they met and greet each other with respect.

Admission

Recommendation bypass outs, came to know about the great and experienced faculty, nice infrastructure and really friendly interaction with the professors, highly qualified staff and overall great workspace, all the equipment are well calibrated and are in working condition, number of events and functions take place and a whole lot of occasions and festivals are celebrated with fun and frolic, the student's opinions are listened and well versed, totally satisfactory and overwhelming experience.

Faculty is really interactive and always helps our seeking and curious minds to grow to our full potentials and always let us know the topics to the depth and really flourish the knowledge in our minds, they are really well qualified and educated and they never make us hinder around themselves for the doubts and they always welcome us for the solutions to our problems, they're great mentors indeed

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time
Placement is decent and average as like other collage

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
