DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology offers admission to its various programs based on state & national level entrance examinations. The institute accepts JCECE or JEE Main score, for admission to its B.Tech programs. DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology Admission to various programs are as follows-

Best college for btech in punjab

Likes

Faculty is very supportive and helpful . You can easily understand all the topics in class itself
College has well managed library and laboratory with fully air conditioned and wifi supported
Campus has all the facilities like playgrounds library auditorium etc

The curriculum is not up to date it focus more on theory
The campus size is small as compared to other colleges
A total of 3 exam happens per year so less time for extra curriculum activities

Course curriculum and examination in the college

The course curriculum is pretty old and not up to date but most of the college in India follows same syllabus only so its not a big issue . There are 2 mid semester test and 1 end semester exam which is set by PTU . The exam is not much difficult you can easily pass the exam

I have done Intership in a company named xpediolive which is affiliated to ibm . So they Intership's provided by college is very good and gives you brief experience in the company . Anyone can get internship in our college if you are a good student

The placement of our college is very good a student can easily get placement in btech branch other branches has a comparatively less placement then btech . The highest placement is 70lakh and average package is 3-4 lakh

What is the total fees of the course per year and scholarship option available in the college?

The fee structure of Btech (CSE) is around 1lakh a year and the hostel fees is around 70k a year . Although college provides PMS ( post metroc scholarchip ) to lower caste students who has low income certificate . Total fees excluding hostel fees is around 4lakh.

College organises fests like TechFeat usually . And the student clubs are also very active and you can join any of these avoiding to your interests . The college is very supportive for the clubs and always encourage extra curriculum activities

Each and every faculty member is very helpful and supportive. The exam is set by the PTU as the college is affiliated with PTU . Generally the exam is pretty easy you can easily pass the exam if you are a good student .

College competitive advantage over other similar colleges

I did not applied for any other college as i always wanted to take admission in this college only. When i compared other college with this college the placement of this college is better then any other college and the fee structure is also very less compared to other colleges

Night Life

Hostellers can enjoy the college night life as there is gym present in the hostel and some common room that can be used by hostellers to host different events . The college is in a very good society so basically you can easily go out at night if you want

Affordable and Worth it !

Likes

Library: The library is really amazing here. There are seperate stidy desks to study and mostly all needed books sre available. Even the exam preparation books are also available. Washrom facilty is also there. The latest magazines are also available
Auditorium and convention hall is also there and have a great seating capacity.
There is no need to go out of college for any thing. The tuck shop is here and everything is available upu will be needing.

Dislikes

Infrastructure: You may feel the Infrastructure less maintained at some places in college.

Admission:

I have chosen this college because it is near my house and have a good placement record. The college provides stable jobs in the placements. I have even applied for lpu, Dav University but this college is worth it. Dav University doesnt offer that much placements and LPU is very overrated. The admission process is very easy here. Students have to just score more than 80 percent for cse core btech or must be appeared in jee mains examination. Admission doesnt take that much time. Its very simple. There is no specific cutoff but the students can get admission through jee mains examination by just apperaring in it.

Daviet Jalandhar Review

The campus is spacious with a beautiful garden in the centre.

Dislikes

The classrooms don't have Aur conditioning, so it's very hot in summer . And the labs avg computers.

I didn't apply to any other colleges. I chose this college because of the affordable fee as compared to other colleges and that it was in the same city where I live . The admission process 1. Eligibility: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biology, securing at least 45% marks. 1. Entrance Exam: Candidates must appear in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main or Punjab State Technical Education and Research Test (PS-TET). You can eligible for the course according to the 12th percentage. You can visit college itself or can visit college official website..all the information are available their for every branch. Admission process is Very simple and easy , staff is also good although I don't think there is any need for improvement there

Admission is based on the 12th result and the student who appeared in exams like JEE mains or advanced they got extra benefits. If you go for counseling there is a very nominal fee of 2000 approx. And admission fee 6500 including the counseling fee. The admission process is very easy and simple, there are teachers who help you there for admission.

The admissions to B. Tech courses are conducted through JEE (Joint Entrance Examination). Students should apply for the JEE Main examination if they are interested in taking admission into DAVIET. Candidates for admission to M. Tech are selected through GATE and an interview conducted by PTU (Punjab Technical University) and the college. The admission date has not been released yet.
