Q1. Is there any entrance exam for MCA admission at DAVIET Jalandhar?
Ans. No, there is no entrance exam for MCA admission at DAVIET. Admission is based on merit in graduation marks through IKG PTU centralised counselling. Candidates need to register on the PTU admissions portal and participate in counselling.
Q2. What is the total MCA fee at DAVIET and are there any hidden charges?
Ans. The total academic fee for the 2-year MCA programme is Rs. 1.89 Lakhs. Fees are paid on a semester basis. Hostel fees (Rs. 34,200 to Rs. 55,400 per year) are optional and charged separately. There are no significant hidden charges.
Q3. What is the difference between MCA and MCA (Lateral) at DAVIET?
Ans. MCA is a 2-year programme for graduates with BCA, B.Sc. (CS/IT), or graduation with Mathematics. MCA (Lateral) is a 1-year programme for BCA graduates seeking direct admission to the 2nd year of MCA, effectively completing the programme in 1 year.
Q4. What career options are available after MCA from DAVIET?
Ans. After MCA from DAVIET, students can pursue careers in software development, system analysis, database administration, IT consulting, and project management. They can also appear for GATE to pursue Ph.D. or PSU jobs. DAVIET's placement cell actively facilitates campus placements for MCA graduates.

Ans. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in BCA, B.Sc. (Computer Science/IT), or any graduation with Mathematics as a subject from a UGC-recognised university with minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved category). Admission is through IKG PTU centralised counselling based on graduation merit.
