Tech lovers dont opt for mechanical

The course curriculum is as suggested by the Indian education system one can check it on nitj official website and faculty members are experienced and grumpy. In the case of checking answer sheets they are very strict and not giving marks. If you are interested in tech then dont opt for mechanical you can go for other branches rather than mechanical and civil

A student can avail for an internship after the 4th sem, some are research-based with no stipend and some give a stipend of about 15000. after 5th sem, several companies come to the college to provide internships. a minimum CGPA of 7.5 is required and a project or two is helpful

From the 4th sem students start to get internship opportunities from there on in the 7th sem there are campus placements. Several companies like Amazon microsoft wipro tcs and several other companies visit the campus. the percentage of students placed is nearly 95% with an average package of 9 lakh. the highest package for the mechanical branch is 15 lakh. I plan to sit in college placements and get a good job

Fees hike is not common it does not happen regularly and certain fee waivers are there for someone who is from a reserved class and for general by showing an income certificate issued by govt. you can opt for several govt schemes and educational loans. I got a fee waiver by using an income certificate showing income between 1 lakh to 5 lakh

There are two annual fests at NITJ i.e. Utkansh (cultural fest) and technity(tech fest) which are also considered one of the biggest fests in north India. there are several clubs you can find in nearly every club in college and you can get information regarding clubs from the official website of NITJ. In the library books are present but sometimes all the books are issued by students and books are not in very good condition. there are several sports festivals and contests throughout the year. Several clubs like the Innovation Club, photography club, and quiz club are run by students

Hostel rooms can accommodate 2 people. one fan, one table and one chair is provided in one room which is very inconvenient because we have to share a table and chair and fans are very slow. It is difficult to live in summer as coolers and air conditioning are not allowed. Mess food is very bad does not taste good and is unhygienic. the menu is not so good either. Besides this hostel is affordable for everyone

I got admission to this college via Jee mains examination. Cutoff for mechanical branches generally varies from 25000 to 45000 for the home state and 21000 to 40000 for other states. if anyone belongs to a reserved class he gets it for lower rank and fee waivers. application form can be found on and josaa website and other procedures at nitj official website
