All the info you need about NIT Jalandhar

The course and curriculum are overall good. I want to be in some leading PSU that's why I choose this branch, so that I can give GATE exam in civil. Other than that faculty are sufficient for each and every subject. Every faculty is good in their subject, most of them are professors who have done PHD and also working in the real world respective of their subject. As per the latest orders from the officials, all the NIT will be one minor and one major exam in each sem, which will be having maximum number contribution of the total. Other than that there's 5 5 marks for class evaluation and a quiz.

There's a startup of the final year students of the college only and you can work as an intern in that startup and the stipend is dependent on the amount of work you have done. The name of the startup is "writo".

You can intern in any sem according to you, but the college will get you an intership in 3rd year only and placement in 4th year. The TPO cell is pretty much active but still, the placements are not that good. We can say that the placements are decent. Many companies visit the College like wipro, Aakash, google, Dottie, etc. The avg package of the college is 6lpa. 80% placement record of the college in the last year.

As of now, there's no such hike in fee policy and you can also get a fee waiver according to your family income. For family income between 1 to 5 lakh there will be a 2/3 fee waiver and for below 1 lakh there will be no tuition fee.

The two biggest events of NIT Jalandhar are "techniti" which is a technical fest and "uthkansh" which is a cultural fest. Both of these fest are not soo good not so bad but average. There's is no problem in finding any book in the library as it has sufficient books for all courses and also there's a new library in making which will be starting in maybe 1 month. All the classrooms have smart tv for presentations and other requirements and a projector too. The seats are the same as we have in movie theatres. And all the classrooms have ACs. There are facilities for many sports such as, it has an indoor badminton court, basketball court, football ground, gym, cricket pitch, etc. Other than that there's also a room for indoor games such as chess, carrom, pool, and table tennis. Our college holds inter-college sports competitions, intra college competitions. There are too many clubs in the college of every type like dance clubs (criminalz and SI crew), music clubs, literary clubs, and clubs for every sport

You have to be the 12th pass to be eligible to give jee mains and jee advanced entrance exam tests. Through this exam, you'll get the opportunity to enrol for any NIT, IT and GFTI (through JEE MAINS) and IIT (through JEE ADVANCED). You have to pass the JEE MAINS to be eligible to sit on JEE ADVANCED EXAM. I got into NIT Jalandhar through JEE MAINS in the civil branch. My rank was 49000
