DR BR Ambedkar National Institue Of Technology (NIT JALANDHAR) Review

As it is a very reputed college with good placement stats, it gave me a good and safer feeling for my career. We have 80 students in our class, and for lectures, we all sit in one classroom. All the faculties are PHD from reputed institutes in our Branch. The teaching method varies from teacher to teacher some are very good but a few are rude too. Currently, the exam system is changed earlier we used to have 2 times minor exams and 1 time end sem exam but now we just have 1 mid sem exam. If you attend classes regularly you can easily pass and can even score well.

Internships are offered at the campus in 3rd year. Students who are equipped with skills generally get the internship. Last year amazon took 46 students for the internship with a stipend of 75000/month. Right now I'm not aware of the projects as we will be allowed to projects in next semester.

When you get into your 4th year (7th semester) you are eligible to sit in campus placements. Many MNC like amazon, Flipkart, google, microsoft, Deloitte etc. visit our campus for hiring students. On average more than 85% of students are placed from every branch. The average package offered at campus placement drives is around 7LPA with the highest package being 62LPA offered by microsoft. Most probably I will take placement from campus for now.

I am personally not aware of fee hike (not sure about the percentage in the hike and after what period of time there is a hike in fees). My total cost for one semester is around 70,000 rupees (I get a fee relief as my family income is under 5lpa. There are many scholarships we are intimitated about by the college but only SC/ST candidates are more likely to get those, but other than that the fees are less for students for lower income groups.

There is always something big or small happening around the campus. Utkansh is our annual cultural fest organised in the month of March and our technical fest is Techniti generally conducted in December but this year {2023} it was in February. We have got all the books related to our course and many others in our college library. Recently a new library has been constructed in our campus. All of our lecture classrooms are well ventilated and air-conditioned and labs have all the necessary equipment we need. Our college is provided with many sports facilities such as a gym, badminton courts, a basketball court, a table tennis room, volleyball courts, and a big cricket ground. There is good sports culture developed in the college. There are clubs and teams in our institute for different events, I am part of Team Cultural Affairs which conducts all the cultural activities in the campus. Like this, we have many clubs for different activities

After my class 12th, I gave Jee the mains exam. My rank was 4500 (EWS rank) and Air 38576. After the result was declared I applied for Jossa counselling after 6 rounds at the end I got the opportunity to get into Civil engineering at NIT JALNDHAR. I did get an extra benefit with EWS category But the difference was not much compared to a candidate from the general category. There is no such problem in the admission process any far the only thing was that the counselling procedure took approx. 1 month.
