Navigating Academia : My Honest College Experience

I choose this course because as you already know there is vast scope in AI, Coding, computer, ML, and IT field and it triggers me and my interest. Moreover, I live in Punjab and my college is in Punjab and it is comfortable for me to travel back and forth to my home. The Student-faculty ratio here is 30: 200. Teachers are highly qualified and had a Ph.D. degree from a Reputated institution and teachers provide books, PPTs, and other materials to us.

The college provides good on-campus internship opportunities with stipends ranging from 20K to 2 lac per month depending upon the skill and major companies for internships are AMAZON, MICROSOFT, SALESFORCE, and many more. Building a good resume is a must to apply for this with at least 2 projects depending on your skills.

Placements in our college are excellent for almost every branch with CSE, IT, and ECE with the highest package. Students become eligible for internships in 3rd year for 2 months and a full-time job offer in 4th year. AMAZON, FLIPKART, MICROSOFT, Samsung, Reliance, Incedo. etc many more than 200+ companies visit and give placement offers to students with an average package of 13 lacs and highest package (as of 2022) of 1.2 crores. You can check it on the website also. Almost 90% of students get placed.

Students have to pay fees according to their income and the category to which they belong which are as follows: 1. Students having income less than 1 lac -----> 0 Tuition fees 2. Students having income between 1 lac to 5 lac -------> 1/3 of tuition fees 3. Students having greater than 5 lac ----> full tuition fees. An alumnus of the college provides financial assistance to deserving students and on-campus internships are provided with a stipend ranging from 20K to 2 lac to skilled students who cracked internships.

The major fests in our college are UTKANSH which is one of the biggest fests in north India and one technical fest named TECHNITI. Both these fests contain games, competitions, hackathons, and many more. There are millions of books in the library and you will not miss any book here you are looking for. Classrooms contain projectors, comfortable cushion chairs, ACs, Blackboard, etc. all the major facilities required in a classroom.

In our hostel, rooms are ventilated with fans, two lights, an almirah, two beds, one table, a chair, and a good balcony with light. Rooms can be shared and single rooms are also allowed. Mess Quality is also decent and the menu changes after every 3 weeks with food provided 4 times a day, breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner.

We've to give JEE MAINS exam conducted by NTA in order to get admission with a decent rank and after the result, we've to go for JOSAA counseling for admission. Application for admission can be found on the JOSAA website and for general candidates counseling fees are 1000 (for boys) and 800 (for girls), for SC/ST/female candidates it is 500. There is reservation based on caste --> For OBC 27%, EWS 10%, ST 15%, SC 7.5%.
