Dislikes
- campus area is not that much big as other NIT's have.
- first year students have to stay in 4 seated room and in summer it become awful.
- We have to attend classes from 8:30 to 5:30 and that's very exhausting.
Course Curriculum Overview
i belong to Bihar state and according to my percentile I was getting other branches in other NIt but I was getting CSE here only so I opted for this college. The faculty: student ratio here is NIt J is about 23 teachers on 166 students and the method of teaching is quite good. They try to use ppt and other materials which makes it easy for understanding. Exams are not that difficult to pass but for scoring well you have to work a bit hard.
Internships Opportunities
Internship and placement opportunities are quite good at NITJ. Various software companies like Amazon, Adobe, Samsung, and others companies visit campus for internships and placement. Generally, they provide a stipend of 1.25 lac for internships of 2 months and an average package of 14-15 lac.
Placement Experience
Placements at NITJ are fairly good compared to other colleges in this area. The top branches are CSE, ECE, and IT for recording the highest number and amount of packages. Students become eligible for internships at the start of 3rd year. And the process continues till the end of 3rd year but if students want they can apply for off-campus also. Various companies like AMAZON, GOOGLE, Adobe, Flipkart, etc visit our campus for internships and for placements as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
Students pay based on their family income. There are three categories in which tuition fees are paid. 1. Students income less than 1 lac, have to pay zero tuition fees. 2. income less than 5 lac and more than 1 lac, have to pay 1/3 of tuition fee. 3. Income more than 5 lac, have to pay full tuition fee.
Campus Life
Many fests are organized here. Here the annual fest "Utkansh" is celebrated with very paint and pomp while the technical fest is "Techniti" organized in February month. There is a Central library for books and students are provided ID cards for getting books issued. One can get 2 books issued at 1 time for 2 weeks only or else have to pay fine There are various sports and activity clubs like "GDSC " "E-cell" "ZEAl" " literary club" " cricket club", "Octave ", "Rtist", "bhangra club" and many more.
Hostel Facilities
There are hostels inside the campus. Boys and girls have separate hostels. For boys in the first year they are given BH hostels and their accommodation is 4 while boys in 2nd and 3rd years get Mega boys hostels A, B, and F where seating is 2. Girls have only one MGH (mega girls hostel) and they are provided other hostels and e-quarters for accommodation.
Admission
Students have to give JEE exam and if you score good percentile then you get this branch during JOSAA counselling. NTA conducts JEE mains exam every year and more than 9 lakh people appear for this. One can get an application form from the Jossa website and the fee for the general and obc categories is 1000 rs. and for girls It's rs. 800. yes, there is reservation based on caste.
