My goal from forever was to learn and take admission in XIC as it is very renowned and is a brand in itself. Therefore, i never applied in other colleges. Before joining the course I talked to so many ex graduates and alumni from XIC which motivated me to take admission here

I had applied in colleges accross different cities like, Madras Christian College (Chennai), Sacred heart college (kochi), Wilson college (Mumbai), etc. I chose St. Xavier's College as that was my first preference and i always wanted to explore Mumbai and also Xavier's had such a good name which made it more easier to choose it from the rest.

being honest i had applied in various colleges for eg: Kelkar , Khalsa , Ruparel and so on but i never got in any of the colleges because i had less marks in maths in my 12th std board exams. according to university rules you need atleast 50% which i didnt have and so couldnt make it. I got in xaviers because it is autonomous and they had a entrance exam , i got admission in special category i.e. ex servicemen quota. i was trying to find colleges with good cricket teams but didnt get any college. Xaviers was my first and last option then. Admission process is very simple for bsc it, you have a an entrance exam, they take the aggregate of that exam and your 12th std marks , then a merit list comes out , theres a christan quota, special quota, student with disabilites and general quota. based on the merit you get in.

I applied to a lot of colleges in Pune and even in Mumbai . For eg Ferguson college , Sophia college , wilson college. I chose this college over others because of the course structure and the reviews from the ex students. I got rejection from some Central Universites because of my score in cuet but i got into most of them . The admission for bmm is an entrance test. You can only get admission if u pass the entrance test with the cut off mentioned for each quota.

I choose Xavier's because the BMS course it offers is one of the best and is very affordable as well , I was comparing Xavier's with christ, nmis etc. the BMS course offered in their college is extremely expensive and not as reputed as Xavier's and the placements that they offers is not good as Xavier's as well,Xavier's also has a good alumini and good word of mouth than these colleges, as for the admission into courses like BMS ,BMM,BSC-IT there is an entrance test called XAT and we have to clearit, the weightage is 60% score form the entrance test 40% from board exam scores and the final round will be an interview after which it is decided if one is selected for the course or not there is a reservation for Christan quota in the college as it is an Jesuits run college

I have been in St Xavier's College since JC and ever since I have been a student of this college. The process for junior college is very simple as you just need to apply through the Mum university form and select Xaviers; then fill the Xavier's college form from their website. Once it's done, u just need to wait for the merit lists to be out. The cut-off for junior college is always somewhere between 89% to 97/98%.

The admission process was through entrance. They calculated the marks on the basis of entrance cum 12th grade results. The cut off was based on 40%aggregate of emtrance marks+ 60% 12th marks. The entrance was not much hard with just basic subjects like general knowledge, English, critical thinking etc. You can apply for the entrance through the college website and write the exam in nearest center. The merit list will be out on various reservations like maharastra board, Christian minority, In house list, Special Category and General Category.
