- The college crowd is amazing. Students from all over India come to this college.
- The faculty is top-notch. Most of the teachers are very nice and understanding, and they teach quite well. They're well qualified, with degrees from reputed universities.
- The college life is very vibrant, with fests and extra curricular activities happening every few months. Each department has their own fest, giving students a lot of exposure and opportunity to handle positions of responsibility.

Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is holistic and the college keeps updating it to match with the current job requirements. Along with theory, they also teach you how to apply it outside of college. The curriculum of Xavier's is more advanced as compared to other colleges in Mumbai.
Fees and Financial Aid
For a bachelor's in management studies (now Bcom. in Management Studies) at St. Xavier's Mumbai, the fee for the first year is Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 50,000 for second and third year seperately. The college provides fee concessions for SC, ST, EWS, OBC, etc. For that you'll have to contact the college. Scholarships are provided to academic toppers.
Campus Life
Most departments in Xavier's have their own fests. The flagship fest is Malhar which is held in august. The flagship fest of BMS department is Zephyrus, typically held in january. The flagship fest of the economics department is econundrum, which also held in january. There are a lot of other fests as well. Most clubs in the college are student-run. There's a sports club too. The library is a treasure trove, with a variety of books and journals.
Admission
I applied to IIM Indore, St. Xavier's mumbai, TAPMI Manipal and I had given CET exam to apply for colleges in Mumbai. I did not clear the IPMAT exam as I prepared only for 2 months, so I didn't make it to iim indore. St. Xavier's being one of the top colleges in India was my next choice. I also got into TAPMI Manipal but I chose Xavier's over it as the ROI was better. For admission in Xavier's you've to clear the Xavier's Entrance Test (XET) for BMS, BMM and BSC-IT. Post which you'll get a call if your name is in the merit list. Rest of the process is done in the college itself, where you'll be asked to submit your documents and fill out some forms. It is a quite easy and smooth process.
Faculty
I can vouch for the faculty of BMS, they're extremely good at teaching and are also approachable. You can freely visit them during the office hours to ask doubts or to just have a chat as well. You can also connect with them via email. Since the class size of BMS is less, the teachers pay attention to each and every student. As for exams, per semsester there are three assesments: CIA 1, CIA 2 and End Sem exams. CIA 1 is of 20 marks and is usually a written test. CIA 2 is also of 20 marks and it's some form of assignment (presentation, documentary making, etc). 2 credit subjects have only 1 CIA. End sems are of 60 marks. The exams are difficult because of the academic rigor of the college.
Night Life
There is a gymkhana in the college. The canteen has a diverse menu. The food is a bit pricey though. Some popular hangout spots outside the college are marine drive, kyani's, metro cinema, girgaon chowpatty. The locality is very safe to roam around even at night.
