About Sydenham College of Commerce & Economics
Established in 1913, Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics is one of the oldest and most reputed colleges in India. It was the first dedicated Commerce college in the Asia Continent. The college is quite popular for offering commerce education in a variety of courses such as B.Com, BBI, BMS and other vocational courses in foreign trade. However, admission to these programs is strictly done via the merit lists prepared by the college itself. Sydenham College Courses and Fees
Sydenham College offers UG as well as PG courses to the interested candidates in the stream of commerce and science. The duration of the UG courses ranges between 3 to 4 years and the duration of PG courses is 2 years. For admission to BS-BM, BS-SM, BS-BFA and BS-LBRM courses is carried out based on merit in class 12 as well as performance in CET. Sydenham College Admissions
Sydenham College admission 2024 has started. The admission process is both merit-based and entrance-based for the UG courses. The admission to the PG courses is also carried out on the basis of merit.
- Step 1: Candidates have to register for their chosen course and college on the official website of HBSU using their mobile number, email address and date of birth.
- Step 2: After this, candidates have to pay a minimal registration fee and wait for the class 12 results. The merit list is released for both merit-based courses as well as entrance-based courses. For admission to the BS (Management Studies), BS (Sports Management), BS (Banking and Financial Analytics), and BS (Luxury Brand and Retail Management) courses, candidates must have to appear in the HBSU CET 2024. The Common Entrance Test is conducted in two different phases by the university. For the rest of the courses, merit list is released on the basis of marks in last qualifying exam.
- For admission to BS-BFA course, 50% weightage is given to class 12 marks and 50% weightage is given to HBSU-CET/BSE-CET scores.
- The admission to BS-LBRM course will be based on 25% of XII score and 50% on score of HBSU-CET/MAH-CET/NPAT/TSOLR - UG or equivalent entrance exam and 25% to the personal interview.
- The merit list for BS-BM and BS-SM is released where 50% weightage is given to HSC score and 50% to HBSU-CET/MAH-CET/NPAT scores.
- Step 3: After the merit list is released by the college as per HBSU guidelines, shortlisted candidates have to report to their respective colleges with all the required documents. Then, they should pay the Sydenham College admission fee in online mode through the college’s official website.
- Step 4: The candidates must then submit the admission form, supporting documents and a copy of fee payment receipt at the college to confirm their admission at the college.

- The curriculum is good; it includes some mathematics. If you are inclined towards math, it will be very helpful. However, if you are not (like me), please study hard to pass the semester.
- Although I had friends who were placed in good companies for internships with a good work profile and good pay.

- The college was not supportive in this area of education, as the mentality was to offer jobs to the students.
- This college does provide internships, but only to the top-ranked students in the class. The interview is merely a formality, as only the top-ranked students are chosen. Additionally, the stipend provided is considerably lower compared to other colleges.

It's an amazing college, one of the best part about this college is its location in Mumbai, it’s pretty safe, especially for girls outsiders like me. The education is pretty good in particular BMS, it’s the best if we compare to BBI, BCom, BMS department is pretty good. The fees are very nominal, the teachers are amazing and they are willing to teach you genuinely, even in this online era they are working so hard. I would recommend this college for sure.

I like this college because it provides a good panel of teachers, the crowd of the college is decent and sophisticated , the staff treats you well, studies are good but the college management should think something about the hygiene of college washrooms, there are no mirrors and the washroom is stinking. No proper initiatives are been taken by the college to give students outstanding events .my overall experience was great in this college. The admission process is easy, if this college is allotted to you then you just have to fill the form online through the board website and visit the college for payment of fees, I preferred this college over others because this college provides me everything I want, sufficient amount of study leaves, proper teaching, cooperating staff and many more.
