Remarks

No bad remarks. My college is the best in management and facilities as well as education

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is great first of all the best part is we have unit tests which are not just pen paper but are online mcq tests, presentations, reports and review articles etc. Final exams are pen paper but the syllabus is very much business world oriented, they make you a better person in terms of industrial world as well as help in adding the most things to your CV There were no industrial visits as the course i study did not require one

Placement Experience

5

Placement is good as the college itself has a placement cell. Also for internships college does not provide any but the professors help a lot by informing students about any internships they are aware about. The special steps taken by them for jobs and cv include a course scs where they teach about scientific communication which will be very necessary in the future.

College Events

5

The events are malhar, one of the best festival in mumbai then there is janfest, lingua and our own departmental fests. Malhar is the biggest fest of the college and students organise it, huge number of people come form all over the world and it has culutral plays, concerts etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees sturucture is really good the fees are very feasible. My program fee is 6500 and it is accepted as a demand draft. No additional charges are to be paid except for lab breakage at the end of the year which is the amout we pay for the things we break in labs. There is no fee breakdown as such but fees are significantly less for the unprivileged.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes scholariship was for the unprivileged and the ones who got good marks in academics otherwise there was no scolarship as such. The procedure was to take a form from the general office fill and along with necessary income certificates and results of previous sem. I guess around rs 5000 was given as scolarship

Campus Life

5

Number of girls and boys is college is almost equal. There are people from all cultures and there is a huge amount of diversity on campus. People from different sexual orientation are there but they are treated just like others, there are economic difderences as well but they are never noticed as people are well bonded to one another and do not care about such differences

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes i live in a hostel very near to my college. My annual hostel fee is 36,000 paid in two sets of 18,900. I live in a room shared by other two girls. There are two as well as thouree sharing rooms in my hostel. We do not have AC but we have other facilities like TV, bread toaster, water heater etc we also have a fridge and facilities are pretty good. Food quality is also good although the taste in so that great but food is clean and hot.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are really helpful, they give notes help us with difficult problem in studies as well as life. There is a student help cell which helps students with all kinds lf issues from family to college. Alumini are also great, the economically well alumini support the college and departments with sponsorships whenever needed.

Admission

I opted for this course cause i was interested in research. I followed and choose st xaviers college as it is avery reputed college and has great placement. For admission first we filled an online form and a merit list came out based on 12th marks and those whose name was there has to fill a offline form at college, give an interview to select desired subjects and then pay fees.

Faculty

5

There are nearly 12 professors in my department only who are well qualified and their age being between 25-45. All professors who teach a particular aubject mostly have a post doctorate in same or have done their masters in the respective subject. The professors themselves teach So well that additional tutions are not needed

Strong academic legacy with expereinced faculties and balanced content- preparing you for future studies and entrance exams and olympiads. very much strict, i would say not needed. somehwere you may experience baised behaviour; but when you are focused on gaining knowledge then these things dont matter as its only a matter of three years. Relevance of course is there but for applying for further studies not for that much for job prospects, if you want atleast a decent salary job.

I have rarely seen companies coming to our college for placement purposes for our course but I have seen companies coming for BCOM and BCA. I don't know about my course as I am currently in my second year. The percentage of students getting placements are veryess as my friend from third year said that out of 150 students only 10 students got placed this year which is very less compared to other colleges. My plans after getting the degree is if I got a job in any of the it company I will do it for experience and side by side I am planning to pursue my education in MSC CS
