- The Curriculum: They are designed in Such a way, where students actually are industry ready with skills, intellectually expert in their subjects and streams
- Extracurricular Activities: Loads and loads of workshops, seminars activities almost every day conducted for all round development of the students
Dislikes
- Compulsory SIP: The social involvement program although meant for good for society and student can be exhausting and rigorous for the students
- Rigorous Academics: The curriculum is difficult, with exams assignments every now and then, and the standards set by the teachers are also very high
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculam is designed for all round development of the student and to make that person an expert in that field, these aspects influeneced me to choose it. Very well, with extra paper of real world application on each subject it ensures that we take something from the course and become industry ready The teachings methods and cirriculam are excellent I don't think any changes are required Exams are all year round, every month and are extremly difficult to deal with, as Xavier's bar is very high.
Fees and Financial Aid
I pay 15471/- per year, as my academic fees which also inlcuded my lab fees for my minor subject Statistics The fees paid is during the beginning of the academic year, and is inclusive of all the fees. People who don't have statistics pay around 12000/- (other BA Courses) as they don't have to pay lab fees. Yes, there are scholarships available based on merit i.e performing academicaly well, A scholarship for students excelling in sports, and also for EWS students, The scholarship may range from 5000/- to fully aided depending upon the need.
Campus Life
Crazy College life, It hosts Malhar Every year which is one of the best college fests in Asia, it is held in the month of august, there are other dozens of other college fests to almost every month Good technical facilities in classrooms with A/V in all of them Great Sports facilities, Crazy extracurricular activities, held every day 50+ Student run organizations for different passions, skills ideas etc
Admission
I applied for no other college, I only wanted this college over anything, and I was confident I would get this. Xaviers is the best college for my course and field, and thus I chose it. Admission process for degree is filling the Mumbai University Form, then the College form thats all, CUET, XET are the eligibility exams and cutoffs are very high going upto 99%, very difficult to get into.
Faculty
Xaveirs has excellent faculty, all of them experts of their fields, they are dedicated to teach, always there to help and back students with industry insights. Every dept has multiple teachers, for political science we have 3 teachers in the dept which makes ratio 3:50, but in statistics 6 teachers for 20 students thus the ratio there is 6:20, there is no uniformity in number of teachers in each course.
Night Life
It is situated in the heart if Mumbai, near the sea, very close to the 'Kalaghoda' are for cafe hopping and admiring art, hostel in campus is only for few FY and TY boys Yes the locality is extremely safe.
