KJ Somaiya College of Science and Commerce also known as KJSSC is one of the prominent institutions of Somaiya Vidyavihar. The institute was established in the year 1972 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The college is affiliated with University of Mumbai. KJSSC Mumbai was shortlisted for the University of Mumbai's "Best College Award" in 2006 and 2007, out of 350 urban colleges, and in 2010 the college was given "The Best College Award" by the university.

I choose this college because of it's styof teaching and it's teaching staff is very very well qualified, what i found in this college is rare, it has variety of sports , variety of fest and students from different states, the admission process is based on merit list. Campus is most liked thing about our college . The college has around 60 acres of campus. With multiple canteens having numerous cuisine options
They give importance to sports hence they've put grounds and fields of various sports . Insite of this they have a strong alumini basis and strong placement cell which benifits many

Dislikes

People of narrow mentaly would find it different to adjust due to diversity of college this college has
It's a little over crowded.having a much bigger campus by default accomodates alot of students and PhD aspirants sometimes makes mess at the id checking places especially at peak times

Admission:

I took inhouse admission Eligibility is not so different because of low cutoffs . Reservation can benefit The college has gujarti minority so their chances of getting admission stands more . Few courses offer specialised attention at exam series but few like bcom BA etc they only offer internals and external semester exams for university . Even the KT exams and their results are done within ample time without wasting student's time There can be very few areas for improvement

Yes, KJ Somaiya College offers M.Sc. in Biochemistry to the students. The admission to the course is done on the basis of merit scores achieved in the previous qualifying examination (10+2 board examination).
