- There is also an issue for dress code which is also a problem according to the students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very wide and vast and in AIC many out stories have been revealed through excavation and many stories has been speculatated the course provides knowledge about the harappan civilisation this was very interesting to me as an adventure enthusiast and thus leading to my degree in AIC . Our course structure provides outdoor classes , field trips and guest lectures every other month . We have 2 internals which is out of 20 marks and the second internals are mostly assignments and projects which are supposed to be done individually or in a group . And we have a semester exam out of 60 and overall we need 40 marks to clear the semester including the internals scored . Semester exams have a one week break before and we also get a 20 days holiday mostly after every semester exam as semester break .
Placement Experience
we can apply for placements during a third year and students without backlog are eligible to apply for the placements which are available in the college. The companies that visited our college during my third year are Deloitte KP MGJP Morgan EY and other multinational companies, the highest package that was offered to a Student in our college was 36,00,000 per annum and the average package was eight lakh and the percentage of students getting placed in our college is very high due to our excellence and knowledge. My plan after getting this degree to pursue masters in ancient history, and I'm also planning to go abroad to countries like Ireland, UK for my higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college St. Xavier's Mumbai is an autonomous college . As I'm doing ancient history my yearly fees is 7000 .our college also offers various scholarship to students including merit based scholarship awarded to students with excellent academic performance there are also need based scholarship offered to students from economically disadvantaged background and there are also other scholarships which our college provide according to various courses . Our college has a registration fees of 1000 , as we are admitted on merit basis there is no admission fees . Scholarship is also based on the number of students who are applying for the scholarship and the fund available in college . Most of them are for students who are struggling with financial needs and our college also provide courses for students who are working and provide scholarship specifically for them.
Campus Life
My overall college experience is very good, compare to all the other students, as I have attended almost all the college fest, including which is also one of the main college first happening in Maharashtra and students from across a country visit the college during the fest, and this also provides with extracurricular points which adds to the credit during my semester. we can almost access almost all the books in the library, but in one condition that it should be returned within one month and all the syllabus and curriculum is available in the college library throughout the year for all departments.
Admission
I also uploaded at various colleges in Delhi, but as I joined this college in 2022, it was CUT's first batch and the first batch and the results were late during that time only as it rated number one, autonomous College in India and and the placement cell in our college was also very attractive time as many MNCs like Deloitte KPMG JP Morgan was coming to college.
Faculty
The college factulty is good they always build a good relationship which college students personally my faculty AIC department teacher are great not only teaching but life lessons and help you build you character and develop in life the anthropology department also was nice the teachers were strict but only ment good for you they always keep an eye on you though not only in class but even outside college you'd always be vary of them and caution the Hindi department was the best and there was this great teacher who loved his students no matter what we could always trust him and was a great support to the outstation students he use to tell us many stories, poetry's and all the students loved him too now most of the students in our college in a average of 100 a 20 must fail but not on the exams but kt mostly other than that people who fail on exams are less in BA department but that's not the case in BSC department.
Interview Experience
As the criteria for admission there was an interview where they see your aptitude by asking various questions they then lot you subjects 3 subjects in which you major in one in last in which you score highest
Night Life
The night life in our college compared to all the other colleges in Mumbai is very good because we also provide evening classes starting from four till 820 at night and because of this our cafeteria library and all the facilities in college is open until 820, which enable students to Engage in college activities more during night time . famous hangout places in our college include the woods, which is next to the canteen. The canteen which is very spacious chord, which is the main attraction of the campus and the corridors which are vast and ancient.
