Faculty:

For every 10 students there is one faculty. We have mentors and mentee with one faculty member. Other than in class the teachers also helped in extra learning. Shrimoyee Guha Thakurta teaches us very good and in depth study. All the other faculties are also very nice and friendly. The pass rate of the batch is too high.

The faculty to student ratio were 1:5. The faculty to student relationship was mixed. I mean some were very approachable. And they really helped. At least to the best of their abilities. But some were not approachable at all. I'd rather not name any names due to anonymity. But I liked them because they really helped in whatever cases I presented to them to the best of their ability. Also the ones I didn't like because of their uncanny ability to hold a heavy ground of pretence that they were above and beyond anything ordinary whereas in reality they were vermins. The exams were conducted entirely by the University. The college had nothing to do in that. But most of the students failed in all of the exams.

The ratio of the Faculty to student Is 2 is to 50 and the students relationship with the teachers are very nice and the teachers are really cooperative and help students a lot and they make studying a fun The best faculty in my department is the sociology and psychology department The philosophy department consist of some teachers who are always angry on students, and sometimes they make the life hell The exams conducted by the College is pretty easy And scoring But the semester exams Which is allotted By the Calcutta University is very hard and some student fail if they don't study the whole semester

Dislikes

I hate that we don't get enough classes and it's always cancelled

The faculty is great, very informative and attentive but as I'm a fresher i don't give any exam yet so, I can't tell the marking system but i can assure for sure we have to try hard to score good marks as they're fair and honest

Scottish Church College: From a Fresher's POV

Faculty members are helpful, very student-friendly and highly educated.

Considering all aspects, I personally love all the faculty members. And it's practically quite difficult to choose one whom I like and dislike the most. For a matter of fact, there's no faculty member whom I dislike honestly. For exams, I currently have no clear idea till I sit for my first sem exam. But professors are indeed very helpful regarding tutorials and stuffs.

The faculty is great and they are mostly quite approachable. Students can present their queries to the teachers through texts. Few professors are very easy-going whilst few others can be slightly intimidating. The exams conducted inside the college are mainly the internals before the theoretical exams.

My Review of Scottish Church College :)

Our Department has 5 professors at present and total number of students are 52. The seat capacity initially was 55 though. The New CCF Pattern has been introduced which has increased the years of Honours from 3 years to 4 years. We are the second batch of CCF. The semester exams are being delayed in the 1st Semester but from our next semesters we will get less time comparatively.

The professors and our faculty are quite nice and they provide us with many solutions, guidance and motivation too.

Though the faculty is good but there are not enough classes and apart from the major and minor, the other ones such as Aec, idc , cvac, sec, they did not even have thorough classes and only gave the syllabus and study material.

The english faculty to student ratio is quite fair, we have around 53 students along with 5 professors. Other than that the history faculty, maths, economics etc are good too. The bcom department have morning classes and it is divided into two sections. As per the UGC guidelines, we have a 4 years graduation system and for our first semester we have, Major, Minor, SEC, IDC, AEC, CVAC, ENVS. The exams are conducted by the Calcutta University. They don't really have a good progress based on the history of exam and result data and due to the huge syllabus and exams are relatively hard.

Dream college : SCC

Honorary Professors and seniors aree really good.. They always help us in study and other co-curriculum

Student teacher ratio is 14:1. The relationship of faculty to students is really very good. And they are very helpful. In our 1st sem, in my personal like,, AC sir is really good (Zoology) and TS mam also very nice and also good in teaching (Microbiology).
