Course Curriculum Overview

I really liked entrepreneurship in class 12 and I also had economics and maths along with it , I pretty much gain interest in studying entrepreneurship that's why I took BBA. The study material that the teachers makes us to study is very relevant to exams , they tell you what can come and what can't, there is not a single thing that they teach goes to waste, even the assignments helps us to get a thorough understanding of what can come in exams. The curriculum is slightly difficult as in mid sems , the exams are held in back to back basis like no breaks in between two subject while in end sems , there are preparatory leaves.

Faculty

The faculty here are well educated and qualified from the best institutes of India, they are very friendly and easy to approach to, their way of teaching is different yet good. I can't say there is a faculty I didn't liked based on their way of teaching as they are all committed to making us learn. The classrooms are well equipped with ACs and smart board for us to learn. There are two exams in a sem- mid term and end term held in September and November.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is relevent but the exposure to the industry should be given also placement opportunity should be given. The exams are difficult and it happens every six months. Teaching methods can be bit improved as it is only bookish, some practical knowledge should be added.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fee was around 120000rs. Yearly around 40000 and it increases per year. At my time no scholarship was there. The 40000rs/year can be given in installment every semester also extra around 1500rs is required in every semester as examination fees.

Faculty

The professors are really nice. They are always ready to help us. They guide us like their own children. Students look up to their home room professors as their mentors. The chapters are thouroghly completed, they make us share our doubts and clear them then and there. They take weekly short tests to see what we have learnt. If anyone scores less they are given remedial classes. Counseling sessions are also there. The exams are conducted 2 times in a year. The college also takes monthly tutorials and checks every student's progress. They take special care of our academics. The failures are negligible or very less due to their constant guidance.

Campus Life

Fests are held whole year. The biggest fest is Umang. ...Rampwalks dance performances. ..Singing performances... Before navratri they held a big event called Dhamaal where students dress up and dance to their hearts content. In Durga puja before the holidays they held an event called sharodiya . Various bengali songs are sung to welcome the deity Maa Durga. Dance performances are given by the talented dancers which gives goosebumps to the audience.... The college has a lot of collectives or groups ranging from public speaking to writing skills or fashion shows and modelling to dance and singing. Everything one can dream of is present in BESC.

I don't like the course because I have planned for my future but for the recent changes of bba course it change 3 years course to 4 years ... And the subjects are not so helpful to run a administrative or anything... Why new education policy add 1 years extra on bachelor course in india their is no value for bachelor degree until you get a master degree to get a job and why they less 1 years from master degree ... In the case where the education is more needed they are decreasing the course years in other hand the bachalor degrees i which is not so important in life until you do master degree you are add useless year on that bachalors degrees ... Is not so good ... Am totally upset with the new education policy..

Course Curriculum Overview

I would rate the course curriculum a 3 on 5 as it was relevant but the projects and assignemnts privded to the students is really unncessary and impractical in real life cases. That is one of the reasons which i was questioning my admission. (Examination pattern, Unnecessary Projects and assignments, strict attedance criteria, negligence for emergency or medical leaves)

Fees and Financial Aid

For now, The fees is around 185,000/- Per semester and the fees is increased about 2-5% percent every year, The per month living expenses inclusive of rent is around 25,000 - 30,000 /- per month. The caution fees that i paid was 20,000/- (2022). There is scholarship 100,000 rupees based on EWS and academics.

Campus Life

I try to participate in many events and it is fen indeed but I wish there were more events and social gatherings. We have a good library and we can also access the e journals or blogs. We have access to Coursera and Infosys springboard for free Classrooms have smart learning projectors Sports is given a lot of importance and we have a futsal court. Now and then we have trials of different outdoor sports and also bgmi We have the NSS group for social work volunteering and the bba club Iucee student chapter Dogri club We have a one day bootcamp which is very fun and then a fest once in a year

Faculty

Sometimes a teacher with different subject background is teaching a totally different subject which makes it difficult to understand the jargons. We have 2 mid semester exams and then a final exam. Mid semester is of 20 marks and checked by our subject professors and the external one is a bit difficult and the checking is done externally. Mostly students fail in subjects like maths accounts and principles of management. The best faculty is of school of management as they are very supportive and kind with their words. We can ask for their help anytime.

The main event is Umang it happens during December, apart from that there are many more events like bonfire, nexus, euphonious, theatre festival etc. Books and journals are available in library everything a course needs is stocked there. We have projectors for classrooms and it works smoothly. Sports curriculum and clubs all are very much active here and there is sports arena having billiards snooker boards etc along with a turn outside.

Course Curriculum Overview

The have fun events like umang but they also have events prepping for the real world like nexus, bornfire etc, there wre three exams - CIE, Internal assessment, CU exams. It gets difficult when you get exams one after the other in after one week of completion of first course of exam, also Cu makes it difficult with there checking pattern.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are not directly provided by the college, but there is a 100 marks exam that is held and named as corporate exposure. This exam is taken at the end of the year where you have to do a 2 month internship and at the completion, you have to provide the full self made report and completion certificate with experience letter. But you have to find those internships on your own and some help is provided by the faculty incharge to you. I got a 5000 per month internship, in CultureX Pvt. Ltd. Where I worked under marketing and sales department.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know about the scholarship of my college but fee structure is very simple. You have to pay the college fees per semester and I can't be through cheque or online payment. You get a particular deadline on which you have to pay the fees, or else penalty charge is added to fees, which is around 250 rs a day for delay.

Course Curriculum Overview

I would rate at 6 for 10 because the standards of this course was not as expected. There must be more to learn new but it's different here. They were explaining something that we already know but only in the name of theory. It applies very less to real world. I suggest to teach more practically as possible. Recently we got to increase our study hours also.

Faculty

Our university have more faculty and were well aware on what they were teaching about but sometimes I feel like boring but it's not bad. The course structure includes 20 credits on each semester, which has 2 semesters in a year. The marking was also like 70% on exams and 30% on our activities or presentations in the college. Marking was also not bad.

Campus Life at alliance is so good with many extracurricular activities and events happening at regular time intervals. The college is equipped with individual courts for football basketball badminton cricket volleyball and so on also with a gymnasium.

Faculty

The faculty in our college are well trained and are from higher educational backgrounds. The faculty to student ratio is quite low and that is a good sign. Every semester we write 2 main examinations one would be the mid semester and end semester.

● Top Answer By Sneha Pathak on 16 May 24

Ans. According to me, Christ University is the best option. Being a student of this university, I would like to say that Christ has fulfilled all the expectations that I had. At Christ, you will get an overview of the various aspects of business management. This two-year degree will help you to be knowledgeable about accountancy, finance and commerce. You will learn how business operates in the real world. Our university has some of the best faculty who continuously guide you throughout the course. Also, be prepared to solve lots of case studies. Study hard and try to gain practical knowledge as you will be tested rigorously during the midterms. The campus life is awesome at Christ. There is always some fest going on the campus and you can join any of the multiple clubs that are present or create a club of your own.Read more

Ques. Can I expect a placement after studying BBA at NMIMS?

● Top Answer By Disha Mittal on 18 Jan 22

Ans. The placement scenario is quite good at NMIMS Mumbai. According to the reviews online, they provide ample opportunities for jobs in MNC’s. Lots of reputed companies visit the campus during their placement process choosing the deserving candidates. Hence the competition is usually high. But the one thing that students have shown their concern about are the salary packages offered. The data in the website is said to be inflated to attract more candidates. But in a more true sense the salary packages are really less than portrayed. The college claims to provide an average salary package ranging from 15-16 LPA, mostly the students are offered 9-10 LPA. The course BBA is really good and full of opportunities, but it is suggested that you complete MBA also to get a better salary package from a reputed company like KPMG, EY, American Express, ICICI Bank, etc. They have a highly experienced faculty, so  you will get to learn a lot.Read more

Ques. How good is Amity University for a BBA?

● Top Answer By Advait Joshi on 18 Aug 23

Ans. My brother recently completed his BBA from Amity University and gave me an overview of the scenario. Here is a short review of the college Campus and Location: Amity University has an amazing campus life thanks to its huge campus and location. It's located in close proximity to Delhi and Noida. The campus has great facilities making the academic experience better. Academics: Here, students have to depend mostly on self-study as the faculty has no passion for teaching.  Crowd: The crowd quality is great and you will be surrounded by an elite pool of students hailing from the NCR Region. The fests are organized at a huge level and students get to experience amazing campus life.  Return on Investment: The institute offers a very low ROI. you will end up spending a lot of money with not very good placements. So, it's advisable to start preparing for an MBA right from the first year. Most companies coming for BBA students are BPO and KPO.  So, Amity University is a great choice if you have no financial constraints and are looking for a vibrant college life. Read more

Ques. What is the difference between a BBA and BBA (Honours) at Christ University?

Ans. In terms of syllabus and curriculum, the BBA (Hons) offered by Christ University is better. Most MNCs prefer BBA (Hons) to BBA. This course is ideal for students who want to go abroad after graduation. The BBA (Hons) degree has many options for credit transfer as well.  Other than these there is no such big difference between the two degrees.
