What Students Say
Likes
- I personally loved the campus environment, it's in the complete hilly area. We have very clean hostel facilities for both girls and boys separately. Gym facility is also there. Boys and girls ratio is 6:4
- The acadmic staff is too good, there're quite friendly and supportive, they also teach very well, regular internals and assignments are given. The class room is also spacious, no uncomfort.
- The matrons (non academic staff) are also so friendly, we have help desk for any related queries, the best quality of this university is they listen to what students want and need, if it is needed they'll surely make the change.
Dislikes
- As I'm a non malayali in kerala university, I felt little uncomfortable at start, as most of the staff members and students are communicating in Malayalam.
- Apart from gym, we really don't have a great facilities for physical activities, there is one ground but it's not in a good condition. Not every faculty is so good, few teachers will not teach in english they use their mother tounge.
- Basically the university is still under construction, that's why we frequently get disturbed by the construction noice.
Course Curriculum Overview
BBA Hons course: - Since my childhood I love business and management and BBA course is the best for me to dive in I felt, cause the BBA course is all about practical based learning which truly helps the people like me. - We have internships after 4 semester, which helps us to face the real world and know how the companies work, and we have IV frequently, they take us to big famous industries, cultural places etc. - I would love the course if it had more practical experiences, like practicing how to give a pitch or training for startups. - For 50 marks exam, we have 2 hours of time, which is enough, no issues with that.
Internships Opportunities
CVV offers many internship opportunities in areas like marketing, finance, psychology, NGOs, administration, and hospitality. Students have interned in companies such as Marriott Hotel, Motilal Oswal, HLL Lifecare, Big Bazaar, Hand in Hand India, and C-DIT. Some roles include marketing intern, sales intern, finance trainee, CRM projects, and NGO fieldwork. Students usually work on tasks like making reports, studying customer behaviour, doing research, or helping in real projects. Some internships provide a stipend, mostly in the range of ?15,000–?30,000, depending on the company. Overall, internships help students gain real experience and learn how work happens outside the classroom.
Placement Experience
Since I'm in the 1st semester, i really don't have a great idea about the placements but as far as I know Chinmaya Vishwa vidyapeeth university has their dedicated training, placement and corporate relations center. The highest package was 7 LPA and the lowest is 3 LPA. The average package might be 4 LPA. Nike, mastek are the few companies who came to recruit After completing my degree, i might go for a job and then complete my PG.
Fees and Financial Aid
-Chinmaya Vishwa vidyapeeth university total 4 year tution fee approximately is 480000. -As I'm opting hostel, the hostel fee for 4 years is 380000. -Registration fee was 5000 - Caution fee is 10000 - Activity fee is 5000 - The fee structure is not rigid, it might change in upcoming years. - Scholarship is available for the students who scored 80+ % in there 12th grade, and they should also clear the university scholarship exam.
Campus Life
My overall campus life experience is good. The campus is active, friendly, and students get many chances to participate. The annual cultural fest is Janjatiya (usually in November) and the technical/department events happen in different months based on each school. The library has a good collection of books and journals, and it is easy to access what we need. Classrooms have basic facilities like projectors, smart boards, and Wi-Fi.
Hostel Facilities
I'm staying in University hostel, we have 3, 4, 5 and also single room sharing style. The hostels are very clean and spacious. The food is not that good and can manage. The hostel is quite affordable, per year it's 95,000 only, Hostel is available for both local and non local people
Admission
Before joining in Chinmaya Vishwa vidyapeeth university, I have applied for woxsen university , hyderabad. The woxsen university is more of pose and on going culture, and the fee was also very very high for the course I opted. The placements were also very low. I choose Chinmaya Vishwa vidyapeeth university because of their rich culture, holistic development, spiritual growth, and when it comes to the fee , the fee structure is also very decent. I didn't get any rejection from any other universities. To get into this university I had to fill the large registration form, a online test and an online interview. Our addmission is based on that scoring.
Faculty
The faculty at CVV is good, there are teachers who are so good in teaching along with personal guidance. Most of the faculty done there Ph.D and also earned doctrate. The faculty focus on slow learning and take special classes. The classes are engaging with more presentations, activities etc. The faculty and students ratio is 1: 100 approximately I personally love nila mam's teaching, she teaches English and business communication for us, the classes are so engaging and comfortable, i really don't like the classes of Ambily ma'am, she teaches Principles and practices of management, her classes are so boring. I opt BBA Hons. The course is for 4 years which is 8 semesters. We have 3 internal and one end semester exam for every semester. The exam question paper is moderate, it's not very tough to pass.
Night Life
The nightlife at CVV is very quiet because the campus has a 9:30 PM night curfew, which many students don’t like. Most places like the gym, cafeteria, and library close by evening, so there isn’t much to do at night. Students usually hang out in the lawn, canteen area, or hostel common spaces before curfew. Outside the campus, students visit nearby tea shops, Perumbavoor, or Muvattupuzha for food, but only during daytime or early evening. The area is safe but calm at night. Overall, nightlife is limited, but small hangouts and hostel bonding make the evenings simple and relaxing.
