Likes

Healthy and friendly environment. Good campus.
Good hostel facilities. Clean hostel. Good food. Considerate management. Wifi from 6am to 11:30pm
Well qualified faculties. No imbalance of girls boys ratio

Dislikes

Mandatory uniforms everyone for everyone
Since its a hilly area in some rooms inside hostel there's range and network issue.
Attending yoga session is mandatory either in the morning or evening

Placement Experience:

From the 5th or 6th semester students are eligible for internships. Lot of IT companies visited made a considerable amount of offers. Highest ever offered was 17lakhs and am not sure about the average package it should be around 7 to 12lakhs . Nearly 40% of students get placements. Since am doing a professional course i plan to join for the same expertise .

Chinmaya - An Average Private Deemed to be University With a Good Vision.

Likes

Specialisations over different courses like BCA , BTech , BBA that is not commonly found in Kerala.
A wide classroom with 2 screens for sharing ppt or any other study resources
Usage of PPT by faculties for studying rather than written notes.

Dislikes

A poor Campus life is offered and construction works is all over the college
Less freedom for students and strict securities
Poor canteen facilities are provided and the meal is not at all worth for 74/- rupees

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is starting from the 7th semester as it is a honors program but they do provide intership opportunities like informing about jobs available in LinkedIn and other platforms like Intershala etc.. They usually say the average package will be like 4LPA . As per their agenda they will try to provide maximum placement assistance for students. My plan is to get placed in a high paying company.

Chinmaya psychology course review - not as good as it seems though

Likes

Course structure only, the teachers and teaching is pretty mid
Inclusive environment where English is the primary language

Dislikes

The campus life is bad . The campus is too small
Extra curricular activites is way less compared to other colleges
The management is very rude and strict and most of the students don't like it

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose psychology because I liked the subject as such and course structure seemed very holistic here, but the teaching is very poor. We have 2 mid semester examination and it can get frustration with all the project works

The faculties I have are really good they don't just teach butvthey also listen to us ready to help us however they can
Personally I like the mess food they serve thereas there are a alot of students from outside Kerala too so there is always Verity

Dislikes

They haven't provided us any facilities that they promised us the onakoor building is no even finished yet
It is a purpose veg college which might be a big meh for a lot of people
It is very strict you don't feel like you are in college there is no aspect that would make me call this a college except the sudden announcements of exams there is no college life don't expect any fests or freshers or anything like that here

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our teachers said that our curriculum is okay for us and is a revised and is not too hard but personally if you don't have a psychology or biology background you are going to face difficulties but once you get the hang of it it will be fine . But they don't give us enough time to prepare for exams and complete portions in a rush

DEEMED to be university...more like DOOMED to be university

Likes

the infrastructure is good and got great facilities
provide better placements in top companies
got hostel facilities with decent rooms with acceptable space

Dislikes

the teachers are OKAY but they still lack to cover the topic
the college didn't finished building yet but the pollution is the problem
the canteen food is poor but now they fixing it

Placement Experience:

Since we are the first batch...there are no placements yet but they offer a good placements. I'm looking forward for good placements at good cyber security related companies...they offer 80k to 1 lakh but may differ later

Likes

Yeah well developed facilities are available.
We have interactive section with others and they provide the faculties to guide us
They will ensure oru academic growth and disability and they provide training.

Dislikes

The campus is very small, we can't enjoy the campus life.
Thier is no any sports facilities no any grounds.
In my perspective the fees amount is high and less events are conducting.

Placement Experience:

The placements in our college is better they provide more opportunities and training section for us to improve oru organisation skills and duties. They ensure each and every student to become at their best.

Life in Chinmaya

Likes

I did like certain faculties and the way they teach
The infrastructure is okay. Classrooms are pretty good and has good quality.
Social interaction is pretty good considering the opportunities we are getting for various things like fests and sports etc.

Dislikes

Sports wise there is no development in the university. I was promised full inclusion to sports but so far only the annual sports Fest is the main thing. No university teams for major sports like football.
Infrastructure is pretty decent but the space is less. It is just 2 buildings and a small space. It’s not much and there is no grounds or other facilities.
Certain faculties are biased on the basis of religion that makes it harder for a lot of students.

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester onwards the students are eligible for campus placements. So far I haven't applied for the placements because I'm gonna be pursuing mba right after this degree so I don't really know the details of the placements. All I know is there is training for interviews and soft skills done every Saturday for our placement wanted students. My plan after getting the degree is to do my masters. As quick as possible. Where is the problem. Maybe abroad, maybe in Kerala, maybe in south India.

Likes

The classroom is vere awesome and air conditioning
The ambience and nature of college is nice
There is wifi facility for the students and guests.

Dislikes

They only allows vegetarian foods inside the campus.
The distance from collee gate to classroom is very long.
The ksrtc service only available at morning

Placement Experience:

From 4 the semester the students are eligible for internship and after 6 th semester the students can placement on the behalf of their performance in the college. They are offering placement in adani port and logistics company.

An overwhelming campus life

Likes

The faculty knowledge and interaction with students is excellent .
The guidance given by the favulty for exam preparations are so good
The class atmosphere is really pleasing for a good day .

Dislikes

Some management rules felt so biased and harsh .
The campus is not much focused into extra curricular activities .
No much programmes to scoop out the talents in us.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The field is about learning our mental health , nowadays most of them are focused on physical health psychology is focusing on their mental health . The curriculum provided is good which cover most of the divisions under psychology and it inspires us to be a good psychologist . The exam levels are moderate .

The faculty there is very supportive and they take the lectures very well
Library is well developed one. it’s kept well disciplined and maintained well
Programmes conducted by the students of the university is good.

Dislikes

The management is a scam. they are the least caring people of the university
disapproval of giving fund for travel expense for college duties
scholarship disapproval is a problem in the university

the strength of students placed is 40. the average package is 40000-100000. from second year onwards students get placement opportunities. after getting the degree i would like to take Postgraduate degree and then Phd
