KNC DU Admission FAQs

Ques. Does KNC DU have any kind of reservation policy during admissions?

Ans. Yes, the University of Delhi has got strict reservation rules in the admission process. Categories that include SC, ST, OBC- NCL, EWS and PwD are the ones that are allocated seats. Also, some per cent seats are set aside to wards of the defense personnel, Kashmiri migrants and foreign nationals according to the norms of DU. Specific seat allocation to every category is shown in the CSAS seat allotment rounds.

Ques. What happens with tie-breaking cases in the merit list to admission at KNC DU?

Ans. Where two or more candidates have the same score and eligibility marks in CUET, tie-breaking will occur in the following order of preference:

  • Applicant whose score in the top three CUET domain subjects is highest.
  • The one with better percentage in 12th aggregate.
  • Last criterion preference is given to candidates older in age. This will guarantee transparency and fairness in the process of seat allotment.

Ques. Are students allowed to take more than one course in Kamala Nehru College?

Ans. Yes, there are options of courses that students can take while filling the DU CSAS form. Nonetheless, the allocation is determined by the CUET score, as well as seat availability in the respective programs. It is recommended that the candidates think over their choices because their enrollment in one program automatically disqualifies them in other cases once they are certain they have been accepted.

Ques. What occurs following the seat allotment process in the CSAS process?

Ans. Once a seat has been assigned the candidates are required to accept the seat using the CSAS portal within the given time. The college will then check the uploaded documents and either approve the admission or disapprove the admissions. After confirmation, the candidate has to pay the admission fee online thereby completing the admission. The automatic cancellation of the seat happens in case of failure to perform any of these steps.

I applied for multiple other colleges in DU. Like hindi, Venky and SBSE. I was alloted by CUET according to my prefernce list. I made some mistakes while making my preference list or i might have made it to SBSE. The admission process is pretty simple. After applying for DU in CUET, make a preferce list according to your prefernce. If you get alloted this college pay the fees amd you can start your classes. Pretty simple. There is absolutely no complications.

Admission:

I chose Kamala Nehru college (knc) over LSR for a couple of reasons. Being very honest, I got admisiion to KNC in the 5th cut off and by that point, I was quite exhausted with the whole admission process. Both LSR and KNC are prestigious all girls college under delhi university, so i felt there wasn't major difference in term of environment. Second the ocation of knc is quite convenient. it situtated in south delhi. The admission process oitself was bit unsual because it took place during covid times. The system was constantly changing. Regarding eligibility, earlier it was basis on 12 th merit but now they have shifted to cuet score bases.
