Administration is chaotic, makes you wait in lines for hours
internet and wifi and network is very slow in college
the infrastructure of the college is outdated and need fixing

Course Curriculum Overview

I was drawn to the intellectual dept, critical thinking in philosophy. The curriculum deals with both indian and western ideas, so you get a global view Outdated syllabus is a bit of a problem and also the teaching style of most professors is not interative or interesting enough.

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 14150 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure has is being increased in the future as so future batches might face some issues. 1st year= rupees 14,150; 2nd year= 14,150; 3rd year= 20,000 examination fee is approximately 1100- 1300 each semester.

Campus Life

Campus life is pretty chill here. It's a tight knit, all women coommunity. Its supoortive, loud, fierce and empowering. Our annual fest is Ullas, has grear performances, clebrity guests, and much more.

Admission

I applied to Lady shri ram college, Miranda house and others but got confirmed admission in kamla nehru only. Du cut offs are brutal so missed LSR nd miranda house. Minimum 45% aggregate fro ba hon's in philsophy was required.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is pretty balanced and Professors are all pretty approachable. I like gaganjot kaur from philosphy department, she's super engaging. not taking names but some professors do harsh marking without giving clear feedback. There are 6 sems over the 3 years. ad if you attend classics and are cleared on basics then you can easily ace the exam, and fail rate is very low.

Night Life

Nighlife is pretyy fun too, hauz khas is near so that has some cool spots. there sports complex around around for exploring and parks with peacocks. Inside the college i always hangout in chaupal or nescage area

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is something that can have improvements. For example I am studying C++ in my computer minor class which is becoming less and less relavent as compared to a lamguage like python. Alot of job prospects require students to know a language like R so I feel things like that should be taught so that the course cam make a student more real world ready.

DESHBANDHU COLLEGE BEST CHAPTER OF MY LIFE SO FAR

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course requires a lot of analytical and logical thinking. The scope is quite wide in my course without having any professional degree too like research, analytics, finance manager etc. This course gives opportunity to gain applied skills and as we are dealing with quantitaive aspects our statistics also gets better with time. Few improvements which i would like suggest are that their should more practical and real life knowledge, currently it is very theoritically heavy. Teaching online softwares must be compulsoury so that we remain updated with technology.

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college are pretty good. The placement cell of my college is pretty active and facilitataes the placement process. Companies like Deloitte, EY and PWC often come to our college for placements with the average package being Rs. 8,00,000. After getting this degree, i will pursure another degree in MBA or I might also take a part in the placement process and pursue an MBA later. Students in semester 6 and further can take part in the placement process but there are internship fairs and summer internship programmes for students who are not eligible for placements

So, I had applied for various colleges during my cuet form submission. But my main focus was to get Lady Shri Ram College. But unfortunately, my numbers were a little less to get into the college. My second option was Allahabad University. It is also a great University but the environment there didn't seem very good to me. I was offered 3 seats there in different courses but I chose DU over AU because of the exposure it proves. The admission process of my college was very easy and hassle free. All I had to do is fill the CSAS form of Delhi University and select preferences based on my liking.
