HRC is a hostile college!!

Likes

HRC campus is amazing and best is the building with the top alumni names of the college.
SRK posters which is visible daily is a point i gaze daily and remind myself that I want to achieve those highs.
Our faculties are Lionel Messi of teaching as they are talented and works hard at the same time.

Dislikes

Politics is involved in societies and outsiders don't get chances easily.

At HRC placements cell has majority of students from our department and this is the sole reason why I have chosen this course. From consultancy to finance roles everything is possible at HRC as companies like Bain Capital to Boston Consulting Group, every group comes to our college for placements.

Campus placement and life of Hansraj college

Likes

The kind of diversity is amazing and cooperative
Crowd is also amazing , friendly environment
The professors are very polite and qualified

Dislikes

Fees is little bit high as compared to other DU colleges
Auditorium is small but new auditorium is now in construction
Canteen prices are very high as compared to normal proces of the commodity

Placement of the college is very good the highest package is 36 LPA and average package is 8LPA in my course bcom hons and the internship opportunities are also very brilliant with highest stipend of 60000 per month

Likes

The college overall infrastructure is really good.
Other students and the overall culture of college is really good
Faculty is really good too and really friendly aswell.

Dislikes

Societies are not much active only during recruitment they are active.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is really good. But some improvements could be in the everything is taught most of the focus is just on how to answer questions in exam much more practical application is much appreciated. Frequency and timing of exams is really good.

Hansraj College : The good , The bad and the opportunities

Likes

The atmosphere in the college is very positive and motivating .
The faculty is always ready to support students and help them in information they needed
The badminton court and the presence of ac in that is very cool

Dislikes

I disliked the presence of monkeys as they disturb students
The unavailability of cricket net or any pitch
In some blocks availability of uncomfortable benches is the issue but it is manageable.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have great interest in management and accounting so that's why I choose this course and the limitation is that it lacked pratical situations it only deals with theory . The time lag in the exams is less according to me as I suffered incomplete exams in sem 1 or reduce the no.of questions or answer writing pages .

All you need to know about Hansraj College

Likes

I really liked the various societies of my college. There are good number of societies in my college where one student can get enrolled into according to their passion and grab many opportunities. And these societies help build your personality.
Various events that take place in the college. It's never like that our college is not having any event. Events are taking place in the auditorium where various renowned political leaders are as well invited to have one to one speaker session .
The environment of the college it is a ragging free area where no student is bullied or harrassed. There are various anti ragging community to look into this matter. So the college provides a healthy environment for the students.

Dislikes

Only thing which I dislike is the infrastructure I think the washrooms can be more well maintained and the other thing is the attendance category. Hansraj follows a strict 67 percent attendance category which is compulsory for all the students.

The college placements are really good. The college even has a placement cell that works quite well. The lowest package offered by the college is of 8 lakhs and the highest is around 30 lakhs something. Many renowned companies come in for the placement. The highest package goes from bcom honours.

The opportunities provided in the college is vast.
The exposure that you get in a city like Delhi.
Placement opportunities given by the college.

Dislikes

The college canteen doesn’t serve non vegetarian food and recently they've hiked the price
The security checks seem unreasonable, we go through it everyday.
Hostelers don’t get to use the ground past 5

The placements are very good, with the highest package being 30LPA and the average being around 8LPA. The placement cell of the college is very helpful and accessible for us students. The seniors and th faculty are also very approachable if we need any help or advice.

The infrastructure of college is great , most of the washrooms are clean and most of the things are done on online basis
Every class is equipped with 2 or 3 ac and new blocks have centralized ac
Every detail of student can be seen on the student portal , his attendance, mentor and other details.

Dislikes

Wifi services in college doesn't work well

Placement Experience:

Hansraj College has its dedicated placement cell which works quite well. You can find good companies coming here for placements. Average package revolves around 10 to 12 lpa which is expected to rise in coming years . But there are certain factors to avail good placement. Make sure to maintain decent cgpa to be able to sit in placements

Infrastructure is one of the best in the whole University. Hansraj college provides top of the art infrastructure facilities which includes various amenities like sports ground, basketball court, volleyball court, indoor badminton court, and more.
The Placement Cell of our college is oke the best providing the best opportunities available in the market including jobs in the fields of finance, consulting, accounting, computer science, marketing and many more. The Internship Cell is also good.
The faculty is quite good and even the best in the whole University. We have people who have earned their PhD in their own respective fields and are well versed with their domains. They continuously inculcate innovative ways of educating us.

Dislikes

One thing I dislike is the rigorous academic structure including the attendance criteria.

The placement is quite good at Hansraj. Students become eligible in their sixth semester to sit for campus placements. Some well known companies include Deloitte, ZS associates, Bain and Co., McKinsey, BCG, Pwc, KPMG, HDFC, Kotak Bank, and many more well known names. Highest package of this year went up to 24 LPA and average package stands at 7 LPA. The median package stands at 8 LPA. Most number of offers were made by finance and consulting companies and their roles. 80% of the students who sat for their placement got placed. My plans after getting the degree is to sit for the placement and get a decent package in finance background and after 2 years of good experience I plan on getting an MBA from a top B school.

The pride of studying in a prestigious college.

Likes

The infrastructure of the campus and the comfort and luxury it provides with minimum cost.
The kind of opportunities and competitions, as well as speaker sessions organised gives great insights into the particular field of study.
The efforts of teachers to teach despite knowing nothing.

Dislikes

A below average teacher provided for one of the most important subjects such as business law.
Seems like a school without uniform, and over enthusiastic crowd coming to college everyday for attendance and becoming teachers pet.
Discriminatory behaviour of some teachers, and their sheer inability to grasp the students attention while teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. The course that I have chosen is B.Com(h) as I studies Commerce in higher secondary. 2. The course is interesting and prepares for real life applications and employment in the corporate sector really well. 3. The content of textbooks is very well written, we just need good faculty for teaching it. 4. Semester exams happend once a semester with medium level difficulty.

Brand name: so hansraj college, everyone knows and a big flex when you can say a lot of famous and successful people are graduated from here and when one of those people are the one and one shahrukh khan
Faculty: too supporting and friendly faculty
Competition: this is where I can atleast get a little competition

Dislikes

Fake people: why do they always try to fake themself, I mean I am not against someone faking it, but it should not look at your face, lol
Old infrastructure: college got a beautiful infrastructure but it needs some good rework
Study: who goes to college for studies????😩

Placement Experience:

A lot of companies come for the final year students to offer them a lot of roles, some of the companies are ey, Genpact, ibm. There are more than 50 companies (or even more) comes for placement of multiple students)

One of my friends graduated with a B.A Economics (H) from Hansraj last year. So, I think I can answer your question.

Here are some of the best things about the institute.

This college has an ‘old world’ feel. The infrastructure of the college is great.
The fee structure is affordable as compared to other private colleges.
It has some incredible graduates, including Shahrukh Khan, Ranvijay, and Anurag Kashyap. The list is really long.
Amazing crowd, the individuals here are both fun and hardworking at the same time. Admission is based on merit in qualifying examinations.
Some of our professors are truly amazing, you will not find such professors at other colleges, even SRCC.
There are many societies to explore like dramatics, photography society, and fine arts society, etc.
The hostel was my friend’s home for three years, and there is simply no better place to stay when studying at Hansraj. However, it doesn’t have a girls’ hostel.
North Campus has the best college location.

You will not regret choosing the institute.
