Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum is really good. But some improvements could be in the everything is taught most of the focus is just on how to answer questions in exam much more practical application is much appreciated. Frequency and timing of exams is really good.

Internships Opportunities

3

The internship cell do tell about various internship opportunities from time to time and students can themselves apply for them depending on their preferences. Tasks do vary and students apply based on their preferences.

Fees and Financial Aid

My fee is around 30 to 35 thousand and there is no other fee for me except semester exam fee that is around 1500. The college do provide some scholarships one that I know of was dell aspire scholarship.

Campus Life

4

Overall festivals are really fun the annual fest is also really good. There is no issue with range or accessibility of books and journals available in the library. Opportunities for Sports and extracurricular activities are also really good you can play volleyball, basketball, hockey, badminton, chess, table tennis. As for societies some are really good but some are just inactive

Admission

I applied to other colleges like hindi, kmc, SRCC too. Didn't cleared the cut off for SRCC as for other I think Hansraj is overall much better in the aspects of crowd and has better faculty for BCom as compared to other. Admission procedure in this is through CUET.

Faculty

3

Faculty is really approachable. Some teacher are really friendly but there are some that don't have that much of hold on their subject. Semester exams are not much difficult they are designed keeping in mind that students have to work on aspects other than academics too.

Interview Experience

4

There was a written that was CUET i did prepare now CUET is being really used for admission in most college and there was interview round or any group discussion for that matter and anyone can easily prepare for CUET ONLINE.

Night Life

4

Library closes off at around 5 in the evening and around that gym, cafeterias too. Hostel is only for some students. Most either come from their house or pgs around. Inside the college LP, mitti cafe is really good as for outside it's even better in the kamala nagar market there are outlets for dominos, kfc, burger king and others too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the BCom Hons course curriculum at SBSC around 7 out of 10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness. One of the main reasons I chose this course was because it offers a good mix of commerce subjects like Financial Accounting, Business Law, and Corporate Law, along with exposure to Economics and Management, which seemed useful whether I go for MBA or competitive exams later. The first-year subjects felt more like a base, but from second semester onward it started to get a bit more practical. Each subject has 25 marks for internals and 75 for the main exam. Most exams are 3 hours long and subjective, and I’d say the difficulty level is moderate. If you’ve been regular with notes and study the past papers, it’s not hard to pass, but getting 8+ CGPA requires consistent effort. Overall, the curriculum gives a decent foundation but it could be way better if more practical components and industry exposure were added.

Placement Experience:

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college. The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .
