You have an opportunity to get placement from this college you are eligible for placement I'm 5th or 6th semester, and companies visiting the college like Reliance, Tata, and another lot of companies made many offers and the highest package is around 15 lakh and the average package on 5 to 6 lakh, also 50 -60% students get placement.
The college offers placement opportunities to all the students, especially for 3rd year it is good for the future if you want to make a career in it. After completing my degree I want to apply for an HR manager in a good company.
From 5th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. The placement cell of the college is very active and DCAC is known for its placements. Many top companies visit the campus like KPMG etc.
The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
I've chosen this course because there's a great scope in this course as we can be eligible for UPSC because of this course. And as our college has a good faculty so we've no problem passing many competitive exams. Our college faculty has good qualifications and this is obvious.
The placements are not that great for history approx. you may get around 5lakhs maximum you may get 15-20 lakhs but you need to be exemplary for that. You are eligible for campus placements only during the last semester it would be great if you do some internships during your college year. Many students don't go for placements after completing their history course many pursue master's courses and prepare for further studies.
Being an Arts and commerce college placements are very less, students can apply for placement in the final semester. It's very rare that anyone gets placement from this college. After completing a degree students probably start preparing for civil services.
The teachers are very cooperative and highly educated. They are really helpful. The crowd of the college seems quite nice. The datasheet for the exams is provided by the University of Delhi. The exams are very timely.
here is the CENTRAL PLACEMENT CELL (CPC) of Delhi University that provides placement opportunities however college provides very little support when it comes to placement. The Students of BCom as well as Economics Hons. do get placed however this is not the case with the students of the other courses. There are very less placement opportunities in the college. Most of the students opt for further studies as well as for other competitive exams.
Third-year is the time when students start getting into internships, some get even before. For journalism, dcac is one of the top best colleges in the city and almost all the students get indulged in some of the other work even before passing out the college, which is more than enough.
