What Students Say
Likes
- As a student of dcac, i liked the campus the children the faculty and the environment. It is located at a very peaceful location in netaji nagar, nearest metro station is bikaji cama palace
- The campus is not big it is small and not the best campus you can study in but a decent campus with all the facilities you can imagine. There are sports ,cultural activities, gym and indoor activities room.
- The cafeteria is good and cheap as you will expect from a Delhi University college and the taste of food is acceptable does the job.
Dislikes
- The cafeteria is not the best in terms of hygiene, the kitchen isn't very clean and the cafeteria is also not so clean, the leftover food is always on the table there's no staff to throw it we always need to throw leftovers of others.
- The campus is old and not that much good. It's very small and infrastructure is small. There are many internal affairs and flights that people don't know about.
- Overall, the college fails to live up to its reputation, and I would caution prospective students to consider their options carefully before enrolling.
Course Curriculum Overview
The digital marketing curriculum at DCAC is highly relevant, covering essential topics like SEO, social media marketing, and analytics google business, email marketing, google ads. We also built our own website using domain hosting and wordpress. However, more focus on emerging technologies and interactive teaching methods could enhance learning. Exam frequency is reasonable, We used to get regular assignments to do and exams are held after the course is completed. Overall, it equips students well for digital marketing careers.
Internships Opportunities
Pioneer, holiday tribe, emerging brilliance were the company who came during the in campus placement drive, they offered the role of Seo, Social media marketing, email Marketing, Google ads and analytics. The stipend was around 10,000-12,000 per month. By each company. There was a interview and a viva with the company professionals after that they selected the students they wanted to hire as intern
Placement Experience
Usually students are eligible for jobs after their 5th semester. My course of digital marketing was of 6 months and during 5th month we were starting to get placement by our placement cell, they used to give us the deatils of the company and we needed to send our cv or portfolio to them and if selected they used to call us, however after the completion of course there was a in campus placement where 3 start-ups came to hire as intern, companies like pioneer, holiday tribe and emerging brilliance came on that time. Almost every student who registered for placement drive got an internship so i was pretty impressed by that. I personally did this course to increase value in my family business but now I'm planning to do internship for 3 months to learn everything practically about digital marketing
Fees and Financial Aid
At Delhi College of Arts and Commerce (DCAC), the tuition fee was 56,000 rupees, payable in two installments - the first at the time of joining and the second after two months. There were no scholarships available during my time at the college. As for campus employment opportunities, while specific roles and responsibilities varied, stipend were given during the internship by most of the companies, i didn't applied for placement as i didn't needed one but my friends did and they got a stipend of 10000-12000 which is a good start in terms of intership of 3 month. Our job responsibility was of digital marketing like seo and stuffs.
Campus Life
My time at Delhi College of Arts and Commerce (DCAC) was filled with enriching experiences. Annual festivals like "Mosaic" (February) and "Technocracy" (October) added vibrancy to campus life. The library provided a diverse range of books and journals, although accessibility could be improved. Classrooms were adequately equipped with technological provisions for interactive learning. Various sports facilities encouraged physical activity, while student clubs like photography, debate, and environmental awareness fostered community and personal growth. Student portals facilitated communication and collaboration, enhancing overall student life.
Admission
There were 2 batches of digital marketing at a time each consisting of 35 students. Admission process goes on for around 2 months and you need to be atleast 12th pass and have a good fluency in English to be enrolled in the course. The admission process was simple they took an interview by calling at the campus and gave out a physical application form to fill and asked to pay 28,000 (half the fees) and we were good to go. The exam difficulty was not so tough the exam were taken at the end of the course of 6 month. The admission process was okay they can improve it by having a more systematic way. They were not clear with the all the queries they should be more knowledgeable about the course they are offering.
Faculty
In my course of digital marketing, there was one teacher that used to teach 2 batches, morning and evening, the morning timings were used to be 10-1 and evening were 2-5. The teacher used to handle all the 35 students at once. There were no problem with that and everything used to be smooth. Our sir name was mayank sir and he used to teach everything in detail i liked the way he used to teach. He also used to resolve our doubts even in night if we used to message him he used to answer our query whenever possible. Our professor was very friendly used to understand us and even if we used to ask multiple questions regarding a single thing he used to answer calmly without any frustration or anything.
